I did get the Lamonster tie downs mounted on the shock bolts and the mirror locks also were installed.
Did a short ride and I do believe the mirror "jiggle" is significantly better. They still wiggle a bit over a good bump but for the most part, pretty sweet.
The tie downs make for a sweet spot to attach my straps when I trailer it. I have a set of rollers that the straps will go through, and the ratchet will be near the rider floorboards. Easy to strap down and that will keep it secure in the wheel chocks. A couple of straps to the big rubber chock I put against the back wheel and the trike rides perfectly.

Put two Kenda Kanine's on the extra set of silver colored wheels I bought for my '22 RT. It came with black wheels and I wanted something different.
Small local shop mounted and balanced them both for $30. Each wheel took one weight. Have only ridden the bike about 50 miles so there's not much to report other than they were super smooth, no shimmy.

It was a gorgeous day to be out riding here in S.E. Pennsylvania. Temperatures climbed from the 50s to almost 70 during our ride. Cloudless blue sky the whole day. We rode back roads over to a little diner for lunch and then it was up to Cabela's to buy some rain/wind pants. Then we hit the back roads all the way home. 108 miles for the day. What a nice day!

Took the F3S gauge spoiler off, and out the Route 129 shield on for Winter Ops. It's noisy but keeps me warm. I think it also looks good. Going to go for a ride later on. Supposed to be 55°F.

Finally admitted I’m too old to ride in the cold weather when I wash my truck and ice is on it before I dry it.
Covered exhaust, put the foam pads under wheels, hooked up tender and put cover over until spring.

Filled up the gas tank, added fuel stabilizer, and took the bike for a ride to run the mixture through the system. The day was very pretty but had a stiff cross wind and a bit cool in the low 40s. Even so we stayed out for an hour and a half and enjoyed ourselves. This was probably the last ride of the year, maybe not.

Web boards modded; RLS Cat delete done
Cut down the Web floorboards to work with the SM5. Adjusted the shifter and clearanced it so that it will upshift, even though it's up one notch on the shift shaft. My Foot fits under it properly now, so no need for a heel bar - so far. Got the replacement bolts at the hardware store for the RLS Cat Delete "Y" pipe; the provided bolts were too short to use with the donut. Finished the Cat delete; sounds nice, not too loud, very little heat coming up compared to the old cat. Found that the original cat pipe had a bad gasket on the RH side, which may have contributed to the heat. Replaced the crazed original windshield with the new Black Friday Special 4" wider one from SlingMods; a twenty-minute job. Removed the acoustic panels and installed the bars; vent kit will be installed when the weather clears up in a few days. Really looking forward to a good ride with those web boards installed; too bad they don't make them anymore. They are made of good steel and were hard to cut; at least the left side now resembles the right side. Full length boards on a manual, yea me! Best to all!

Nothing.
I have a "whole" 20 miles on the odometer - the ride home from the dealer. Its been too cold, its been raining and I'm on the injured list. I have a ton of parts in hand to install and many more on the way but realize I need to clean out the garage so that I can make room for the work.
I look into the garage door every few hours to stare at it. Yesterday I got dressed, put on a jacket and just sat on it thinking about the next ride.... seriously. Going through withdrawals over here...
Now a few days ago (11/29/23) I installed my backrest and my new windshield. But did not ride.

Ready to give the Spyder a good wash and wax, flush and bleed brakes, make ride height setting changes, then dig out the ROLO laser alignment and BUDS / BUDS2 tools and reset the alignment for best handling and least rolling resistance.
Got an oem oil filter and oem O rings, plus Mobil 1 10w40 motorcycle oil and will change oil also.
The Lithium battery has been a great improvement over the previous Yuasa batteries. Excited to not have any worries about getting stranded with a failed battery.
Also need to purge the RT622 trailer bearings with new grease.
Winter here is riding season, summer gets a bit to toasty unless doing dinner rides after the sun goes down.
Need to have the wife decide where we shall head out to see holiday lights.
Also, will help my longtime neighbor and friend with his 2021 Spyder. His too will get a flush and bleed of the brakes. He bought Speed Bleeders for his, so those will get installed. Me, I remain old school and capable of not needing them. He may have more options to install, and then his gets the ROLO Laser alignment too. He also has a NoBoot windscreen arm upgrade, might wait on that for now.
Couples hours of work, then it’s time to play.

Interesting, I was under the impression that MTBE oxygenated fuel was no longer sold at consumer fuel pumps on account of serious health hazards (known very bad carcinogen). We still use it for race bikes at about $12 / gallon.
Non ethanol gasoline we can buy at many gas stations. Typically sold for marine and off highway vehicles, including lawn equipment.
For almost all the years of owning the Spyder since 2014, unless traveling and burning fuel in a short time, I always treat the fuel with Yamalube to prevent corrosion and phase separation of the ethanol.
Ran leftover oxygenated gasoline in my lawnmower once. A week later, going to cut the grass again, the oxygenated gasoline had ruined the seams of the plastic fuel tank. Had to get a new fuel tank after that. Oh well, lesson learned.

Doing O/C on daughters car today found signs chipmunks are back next to her coil packs, sons car had same acorn debris under coil cover…off to HW store for rodent repellant & mothballs.
Added a few more mothball containers next to wheels and ended up with a sonic unit also to put next to spyder also, have to keep the priorities in order!
