My wife and I saw Los Lonely Boys in concert Sat night.

Wow!!!!

They put on a great show and those three guys can really play!!!

https://loslonelyboys.com/

We were 6 rows back from the stage and right smack dab in the middle. Perfect seats!

When the show was over, we found out that it was raining buckets, and I mean BUCKETS! We were parked about a block away and it didn't look as if it was going to let up anytime soon. So it was a mad dash for the car, running through puddles and getting soaked to the bone by the time we made it to the car. Oh well, no one melted.

Once home I checked the rain amount on my weather station. In two hours, almost 3" of rain.

You know what they say. Sometimes you get the rain and sometimes you don't. If you want to send me several trucks loads of water, that would be awesome. I hope you enjoyed your rain and the concert.

How many truck loads would you like? We just had a major thunderstorm move through the area. I'm looking at my weather station display, 1.3" in one hour. For a few moments it was coming down at a rate of 4.2"/hour.

4 days of --- HOT HOT HOT for Fritch, TX.

So, did you set a record on that 100-yard dash? :D

We got a mini-break last evening. A couple thunderstorms snuck into the valley. Had some rain for about 1/2 hour starting at 8:30. It cooled things down a bit but increased our humidity. I just came in from trying to retrieve my flag from the carport roof. It came apart at the seam in the middle of the staff and flew away in the wind. I don't have a ladder that's hefty enough to support my bulk safely. Been trying to snag it with a rope and hook slung onto the roof. So far, unsuccessful. May need to enlist the help of my skinny neighbor who owns a good ladder.

Right now, we have partly cloudy skies and temperature of 98. Because of the clouds, we'll only get to a high of 106. There's a 5 MPH breeze and humidity is at 25%. No monsoon action in todays' forecast. Stay safe... Jim

:chat:....Welcome to my local area weather news. Currently we have mostly clear sky and 72°F. Still very short on rain here in Indiana. The weather people are saying that we might get some rain this afternoon, I sure hope so. Most Indiana Farmers are starting to get a little worried about the weather. Bring on some good rain showers.

Today's numbers are looking good for now.
High of 76°F with some clouds.
Low of 60°F with rain showers.
Listing 90% chance of Rain today.

Praying for the right amount of rain and very soon.
Everything is good for now. ....

In yesterday's post I wrote about my flag and 1/2 staff that had blown onto my carport. After modifying my homemade grappling hook (thanks to a much-modified paper clip) I was able to retrieve it. There is now a screw that locks the two halves of the staff. And..... I was able to complete the fix right on my kitchen counter without sweltering in my non-AC workshop. (One of the benefits of not having a wife).

Right now it's 98 degrees with a few thin clouds. The breeze is at 5 MPH and the humidity is 26%. High will be 106 and the overnight low will be 86. These are pretty normal numbers for this time of year. I looked at the 10 day outlook and there is no change in the forecast. Every day, 105. Every nighttime low of 85. No more monsoon action forecast for the valley. Stay safe..... Jim

More of the same. High 80's, low 90's. About 15 minutes of rain two days ago. A chance of some more Saturday.

Got the air conditioning fixed on Mon. morning. I don't know how we live without it any more.
