Here is the latest weather update for Vermont:
We are looking at warm and sunny weather to start our week. Today features mostly sunny skies overhead as daytime highs for the day climb back into the mid to upper 80's and lower 90's. Dew points remain in the 60's meaning it is feeling rather sticky. Tonight - partly cloudy skies prevail as overnight lows fall back into the 60's and lower 70's. A front will stall out in our region for Tuesday. It will be a muggy day, with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms may produce heavy downpours and potential for a few to have embedded small hail and gusty winds. Highs will be back into the mid and upper 80's and lower 90's
Mid-week requires our attention. We'll be impacted by the remnants of Tropical Storm Beryl. The track remains uncertain, but if we get hit directly, we could receive 2 to 3 inches of rain Wednesday and Thursday. This is additional to the prior wet weather we have seen, and so could lead to scattered flash flooding of small creeks and low-lying areas. The exact track and rain fall amounts are still uncertain and require our vigilance. The best-case scenario is the brunt of it will be shunted to our southern part and east of Vermont, with just scattered showers and maybe a few thunderstorms and rain fall totals less then 1".
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected Friday. However, the weekend looks promising with partly sunny skies both Saturday and Sunday and highs in the 80's.
The current temp is 87 degrees, and sunny, hot and humid!
