We still get more snow showers before the storm is all done. The steady snow from last night has tapered off to more on-off snow showers and that will continue through the morning hours. There may be a bit of wintry mix in our southern areas with some sleet and freezing rain. There is a lull in the storm now. But a second part of this storm will be coming in during the evening hours with another round of steady snow. Also, a wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain will move northward, reaching the central part of Vt. The snow and mix will finally taper off to scattered snow showers, mainly in the mountains during the overnight hours. By Friday morning this storm will have given us between 6-10 inches of new snow.

Friday and Friday night will be blustery and cold. Wind chills will be - those "feel like" temperatures BELOW zero late Friday into early Saturday.

This weekend will be unsettled with a minor clipper system that will be coming thru. The temps on Sunday will be in the 30's. Then another bigger snow storm may bring in some more accumulating snow Monday night into Tuesday.

(Off topic - I guess I'll get a chance to take rides on my sled!!!! Depending on if the snowmobile trails open up?)

On Friday the temps will drop like a rock

Friday 2/24/23

:coffee:...Welcome to my Local Weather News, currently 23°F. Extremely wet from all the rain yesterday, but no snow. Just can't believe it yesterday temperature was 63°F and today's high 36°F. Somehow the numbers are flipped, oh well just a little observation.

High today of only 36°F, with some sunshine and clouds. Low of 31°F.

Stay Healthy. ....

The cold, wet weather has moved on. Today will still be a bit cool here in the desert S.W. with a high of 58 degrees. There is no wind or clouds. Tomorrow we will get back to 70+ degrees. But..... another storm is expected on Sunday when we will have temperatures of 57/37 with rain and wind. The storms we had a couple days ago were strong enough to shut down our ski resorts. They had wind gusts as high as 85 MPH and white out conditions. This has been an unusually cold and unsettled winter. Stay safe..... Jim

West Central Minnesota's version of Global Warming

Wednesday & Thursday we received approximate 16" of snow and blizzard conditions with gusts of 45 MPH. Woke up this morning to -17* below zero. Have to love living here in the winter, and summer will bring extra hot & humid weather to even things out. We have another whole month to get through before thinking the worst has past. Just have to grin and (bare it)! But NOT today. Life goes on, Bill

The current temp is VT. is 9 degrees and clear. It feels like -3 degrees.

We got about 4 to 5 inches of snow.

HI All,

The current temp in VT. is 17 clear and sunshine for now. This week will be active due to a 2 snow storms.

The first snow storm (frontal system) will be coming at us from the Midwest late in the day, bringing another round of snow for tonight and through the day on Tuesday. The bulk of the accumulating will be in the higher elevations, especially in the southern Green Mountains and Adirondacks, there will be as much as 5-10 of new snow by the end of the day on Tuesday.

Our central areas will be getting 3-5 inches of snow, with the higher amounts in the higher elevations. And 2-4 inches of snow will fall in the higher elevations to the north. Just 1-3 inches of snow will accumulate in the or near the Burlington Vt. area.
Then we get a break on Wednesday to start the month of March off, But it won't last long Because by Wednesday night into Thursday a clipper system will bring more snow showers and rain showers .

A larger storm could be bringing more accumulating snow late Friday and into early Saturday.

I am not complaing! Before I know it, it will be spring and I'll be taking rides on my spyder! WOHOOOOO!!!!!!

Everyone stay safe, and healthy!

Deanna

60's and a blue bird sky today. Big windstorms last night. Tornadoes to our west in OK. One more day and the month is over. Where did it go.

March is coming and Spring is only 22 days away. I am guessing I will have to cut the grass before the "official" start of Spring.

I've been living here in the desert S.W. for 18 years now and this is by far the coolest and most unsettled winter I've seen. Today is bright and sunny. There are no clouds and only a 3 MPH breeze. But the high will only be 60 degrees..... That's about 15 degrees below our normal for this time of year. It seems like we're having normal temperatures in 1 out of about 10 days. The rest have been cold (for us). There is another cold, wet front coming in on Wednesday. In years past, we could plan outdoor activities well in advance and pretty much count on having shirt sleeve weather. Not so this year. At least our reservoirs and mountain snow packs are in good shape. Stay safe..... Jim

We were supposed to get rain and freezing rain.
Instead we have had 4" of snow since 1 oclock and it is still coming down.
Everyone in a big panic. They should have been around in the 70's when we got snow.
