...Welcome to my Friday and 'Good Friday'.
Easter is this Sunday by the way. I hope you can enjoy some time with your family and friends.

Currently cloudy and 38°F. I can see the full moon though the sky of light clouds. I still have standing water areas in my yard.

High today of 58°F with clouds and some sunshine.
Low of 35°F with clouds.

Weekend Weather 4/8/23 - 4/9/23

:yes:....The weekend has finally arrived and we are going to have some sunshine mixed up with a few clouds. Currently we are at 38°F and dry. Hopefully this sunshine weekend will dry the rest of the water in my backyard. I tried to cut some grass and the tires are making a big mess of my yard .

Today's high will be 63°F, with sunshine.
Low of 38°F and no rain in the forecast.

Sunday's high 66°F with sunshine.
Low of 38°F.

Skiing is rapidly coming to end ....at least for me ...I don't like skiing in Slush:roflblack: .... this week temps will rise into mid 60's - 70's and maybe an 80 F :clap::clap:

Happy Easter everyone! Today it will be 88 degrees here in the desert S.W. There is a 3 MPH breeze. Overnight low will be 61. There are no clouds in sight. Having a relaxing day. May spend a little time hanging out at the pool this afternoon. Stay safe..... Jim

Monday 4/10/23

:chat:....I enjoyed the time with some friends and family yesterday. We had some fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans and rolls. The weather was great for us and we were hoping for the warmer day. We had 66°F for Sunday.
Currently it is clear sky and 41°F.

High today of 69°F, with sunshine and blue skies.
Low at 41°F and no rain in the forecast.

Hi Mike I hadn't heard you were skiing this year. Last weekend of skiing will be this coming weekend, unless the resorts apply for an extention. Since all the ski resorts are on watershed land they have ro be off it by April 15th or justify an extension. Today it is predicted 70° here in the valley. All our snow is gone down here,now prepareing for flooding and hoping for a slow melt. This will be a Spyder work day.

The current temp is 60 sunny.

Yesterday the weather was sunny nice.


The rest of this week the weather will be nice with lots of sunshine. And it will be even warmer than it was on Easter Sunday, when most of us got into the 50's for highs. Today( Monday) high temps will be in the 60's in most spots.

A weak cold front will kick up a few clouds later on Tuesday, with just a slight chance for a few showers. Other than that, we will have a great stretch of weather ahead of us for the rest of the week and into next weekend. It will also be warming up. Temps will be running well above normal for this time of the year. By the end of the week and into the weekend high temps in the 70's for most of us. There could be a few low 80's on Friday. :yes::yes:


The stretch of nice spring weather will go into the start of next weekend. But finally, by late in the day on Sunday, there may be some showers with cooler weather coming in next week.


The only draw back with this nice dry, and sunny weather is the increasing threat of brush fires. With all of that sunshine, low humidity,and occasional breezy conditions this week, there is an increased risk for those brush fires.

They have issued a (MODERATE) fire Weather Watch from April 10th @ 2:23 pm to April 11, @ 8:00 PM Affected areas are: In New York, Champlain of New York. In Vermont, Champlain Valley of Vermont, Northern Taconics and Lower Connecticut Valley North.

Timing..... Late Tuesday Morning into Early Evening. Strongest Winds and Lowest Relative Humidity Values will occur between Noon and 5 Pm Tuesday.

Winds...... Southeast 15 to 25 MPH with Gusts up to 40MPH.

Relative Humidity..... 20 to 35 %

Temps in the Lower to Mid 60's.

96 for a high today here in the desert S.W. There is a 6 MPH breeze and the humidity is 7%. There are no clouds. Turned the air conditioner on for the first time this season about 1/2 hour ago. It's old, but not as old as me. But unlike me, it works!!!! Stay safe..... Jim

Tuesday 4/11/23

. ....Monday was a nice spring day, warm and lots of Sunshine. I was able to get out there and cut the grass.
Oh, the smell of fresh cut grass. Currently it is clear and 40°F. The weather people are saying, all week it should be
a sunny day. We had 74°F.for the high.

Today's high will be only 75°F, with sunshine. Low of 75 and no rain on the schedule.

Supposed to be 80 today, warmest day of the year so far. My wife and I might have to go see if Iron Mt. Road is open yet.

Yes I did, but over the summer I developed pain in my right leg, if I stressed it even from just walking a short distance ..... my Doctors haven't figured out Why yet.... luckily my left leg is fine ... So I had already purchased a season pas ( which they refused to refund - before the season even began :gaah: ) .... so I took a chance and tried to ski .... and surprisingly I could ..... HOWEVER, I was limited to very short trails. .... But Heck I could ski & skied into better shape .... but not like last year or the year before ..... Now I think I'm done, because skiing in slush takes a lot more energy than I have ..... thanks for asking .... Mike :thumbup:

Well yesterday's weather was awesome. We had 79. Today is going to be about the same.
Currently we have clear skies and 54°F.
I got most of the grass cut.


Today:thumbup: high of 77°F with lots of sunshine.
Low of 48. Still no rain in our forecast.

Did Nemo rd to Deadwood and Spearfish instead of Iron Mountain rd. Different riding in 80 degree weather with 3 ft snowdrifts on the side of the road.

...I am still amazed that so many people have said that the weather is crazy. The weather news people have been saying that for years. They give us their best guess and then we try and be Happy.

This has been a very nice week for me and Indiana. I try to enjoy life and be patient with the weather. Day 3 of the 70+ days.

Today it's going to be 80°F with lots of sunshine.
Low of 52°F tonight. Nice camping weather.

Yesterday's sunshine made it very warm, 80°F.
Not a record.

Today we will have a cold wave coming from the north and it will give us some cooler temperatures. Currently we have overcast and 57°F.
High today only 78°F.
Low of 55°F.
