• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm new this year to wearing earbuds while listening to music on the Spyder . It's a much more enjoyable ride to rock out to music and twist the throttle. I just wish I did it sooner in life with the other bikes I have owned.

Holly and I have been going through different sets of earbuds to get ones that stay in our ears and I have to say, don't waste your money on the cheap Skullcandy earbuds shown here. http://www.ebay.com/itm/230760210023?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 The sound is horrible with absolutly no bass. These are the worst earbuds I have ever owned.

Skullcandy makes a wide range of different model styles and a huge difference in prices, so lesson learned............. you get what you pay for.

I bought a pair of those when you mentioned them a while ago and they are not the best.
Skull Candy Ink,d and Titan and the sound is Great .
I recently purchased foam ear cushions (4 pair for $6 on E Bay) and they are superior (IMO) to the silicon ones that come with most earbuds.

Do you happen to know the model of those Wicked Little Buds you have ???

I have a pair of wicked little buds since reading Lamonts post and I love them. Actually went back and bought 2 more pair since you cant beat the price, $5.50 per pair.

I'm suprised you allowed to weat any at all.

In Mass, headpones or earbuds are illegal.

For car drivers I could see this.... But bikes should be exempted. Do they allow ear protection like ear plugs? I use my noise canceling buds and they work great even without playing music.

I have skull candy Titian's and they are the best ones I have had for the price, they are about 40 bucks if you buy them at best buy and I ride in everything, I go thru about a set a year and I can not say enough about them. I have small ears and the budds are the smallest I have seen.

The 20 dollar basic ones are great for basics but its worth the extra 20 bucks

Illegal to Possess, WTH. Really? What do they do, take you to jail if you have them in your freakin' frunk? Or Coat pocket? that is some Bunk right there.

Any Who! Rando, I enjoyed these: And they dont flop off when you helmet up!

I have them in white, so I dont wanna hear about it, and if I had them in pink, I wouldnt wanna hear about it either!

How is the bass and volume through these ???

So if I have speakers installed in my helmet, and I have my phone bluetoothed to my scala rider, which is my communications system, I'm legal based on Virginia's law. It either that or I need an extremely heavy vehicle.

For the purpose of this section, "earphones" shall mean any device worn on or in both ears that converts electrical energy to sound waves or which impairs or hinders the person's ability to hear, but shall not include (i) any prosthetic device that aids the hard of hearing, (ii) earphones installed in helmets worn bymotorcycle operators and riders and used as part of a communications system, or (iii) nonprosthetic, closed-ear, open-back, electronic noise-cancellation devices designed and used to enhance the hearing ability of persons who operate vehicles in high-noise environments, provided any such device is being worn by the operator of a vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating of 26,000 pounds or more. The provisions of this section shall not apply to the driver of any emergency vehicle as defined in § 46.2-920.
