• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

yesterday i was thinking, and thinking costs me money

And as much as i did not want to say this..... You are a pain in the *** to make happy :yikes:. That was not meant in a derogatory way, :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: but with your medical issues why not fix it the way you need it so you can be content and safe.

John and Joe,
:agree: with Joe in that SAFETY cannot be compromised...
And I'm really happy to see that what he said was completely understood for what it was; an honest statement between brothers! :2thumbs:

Yes it was. and John agrees with me.

I had similar problems which I solved by using a hockey puck as a heel rest/swivel point and it really doesn't look as bad as it might sound. I too had the hand brake on my first Spyder and thought that I'd miss it, but my simple fix works well.

your hockey puck gave me this idea, i bought 2 hockey pucks and put the together and it worked but i really didn't like the look so i started thinking and this is what i came up with, this morning i found a fabricator on the internet out on long island, so i am going to take my temp let out to them today and see how much they want to make them and how long it will take to get them

John didn't your 13 have pegs? The floorboards are way nicer to deal with than you think. You need to get some seat time and see for your self. If you had boards on your 13 then never mind and feel free to experiment all you want, trying nothing is wasted time is what my dad use to say.

today i found a fabricator and brought him the templet i made so he is going to see if he can get a couple of small pieces of flat stock in 1 inch and 1/2 inch thickness so he can make me the 3 pieces i want made

Hand brake

Get the hand brake. The medical issues you have will not go away. Adding a raised platform near the pedal means that in a panic, you could step on that instead of the brake pedal, and crash. DON"T CRASH! In a panic, if the hand pressure is not enough, you will muster the strength to stomp on the pedal, flailing wildly. Why have something there that might block you? I hate the idea no matter how I think about it. GET THE HAND BRAKE!!!!

my heel will always be on the platform i am making, right now with the loss from the 13 i took and the price of the 14 i am a lil cash shy to spend another 1300 on the hand brake right now. and i did have floorboards on my 13, but the few times i hit the foot brake the bike would do a nose dive because i have to lift my leg to use the foot brake and i end up putting too much down ward force on the pedal. it is just me but i really don't like the idea of just the foot brake and if they offered the hand brake as a option i would of added it and just added it to the note

Good dealers would have installed the ISCI and rolled it into the purchase, but again, we go back to the same old song. You dance in circles and place hardship on yourself, sticking with a crummy dealer that, in your words, said "NO" to the hand brake. Among all the other deficiencies with said dealer.

they said that they would not install it i even told them to buy it, but than again when i needed a tire they would only install the tires approved by BRP
