• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My wifes car is in the shop and believe it or not, she is driving my car. What a great excuse to unplug the battery tender, throw on a couple of layers of WARM clothing, crank up the grip warmers, and head off to work. It was a balmy 28 degrees when I left home, but what a wonderful experience - hope her car is gone for a few days while the weather remains dry. Anyone else ride in cold weather?

Yup, as long as the roads are dry (even sometimes not) we're usually on them

:agree:Same here for this morning, 28F on the ryde in, and like you said .... Invigorating

Just a suggestion, BajaRon (site sponsor) sells a FirstGear Thermo Riding Suit, that I (& many others) HIGHLY Recommend. We've had one since the winter of 2010 & ever since, have road all year long, barring those days that are just too dangerous due to Ice/Snow/Torrential Rains, but otherwise, if the suns a shine'n, its time to ryde

Here's a link to a review we did on the suit back in 2011 if you care to read- Post #10 on this thread:

As long as the roads are dry, I'll ride. I also recommend the Firstgear Thermo Suit. I bought one big enough to wear over my summer riding gear. My Spyder loves riding in the cold! I'm going on an all-day ryde this Saturday, up into Pennsylvania, through the Michaux State Forest.

28 is about at the limit of what my sense of discretion will allow...
But it sure is fun!! :D
Lots of hot cocoa after the ride...

Peppermint Patties (hot chocolate, peppermint schnapps, whipped cream topping, and a cherry)are even better.

It rarely gets to freezing levels down here, so if road is dry I'm on it! With such balmy weather a good windproof jacket, turn in the Baker air wings, good gloves & boots and turn on the heated grips are all I need!

:2thumbs:
How well do you hold up in the Summer heat? When we're in the mid-eighties in July; how hot is it getting in your neighborhood? :dontknow:
