You will love the sound of the TB's. Here is a shot of my bike with it onPicked up the Exhaust kit today... Man oh man the craftsmanship is awesome. Cannot wait to get time to install them :2thumbs:...
I ordered some stuff from KewlMetal last Monday. I was expecting it to come in on Thursday because I went with 3 day delivery but come Friday I still had no parts.I was unable to get ahold of them by phone so I fired off an email and got a reply later that day. It seem the "normal" processing time is from 3 to 7 days
hun
so my stuff is scheduled to be shipped tomorrow. They upgraded my shipping to 2 day so I should have the parts by Wednesday.
I suggested that they need to list their processing time someplace. I've got so used to dealing with places like Aerostitch, Murph's or Cycle Gadget that always ship the day of or next at the latest that I just assumed KewlMetal was the same way. Hope you get your parts soon too.

Thanks folks :2thumbs:...
Well today was a loooooooooong day with Copper and my tools... Installed...
- KewlMetals Center console and 7" handle bars... Worked nicely.
- KewlMetals Foot pegs. This is where my being pleased with KewlMetal stopped. May not be their fault at all (Just wanted to be clear on that)
- The instructions say to not worry about the left rear bolt because there is some kind of catch mechanism... HA! It is now just like the RT on our 2011 RS-S's (Or all of them :dontknow
They put a nylon lock nut on the other side where you cannot get a socket on it so save your life! I ended up "Pinning" a screwdriver up and between the mounts to hit the edge of the nut, then used my impact wrench on high speed reverse to get it off the nut. Then the nut falls into this lovely pocket and limited likelihood I will ever get it out.
- Then (Phew) I get to the HWY mounting brackets started. The right side was either EXTREMELY poorly welded together or once again BRP has changed the angles and or designs of how they are routing the exhaust manifold on the right side... I had to place four washers to the rear bolt hole, and pound the living crap out of the bracket (Not while on the bike of course) so that it would not be hitting the exhaust manifold from the front piston. This was my second set of HWY sets.. Never expected this. I plan to email them on Tuesday as my Monday is beyond full at this point.
- Installed the ISCI Hand Brake... Looooooooooooooooooove it. Top quality. Did I mention I love it? I think I may need a little fine tuning because it does NOT brake as well as the foot brake does. I thought I had it pretty dialed in :lecturef_smilie:. Any more adjustment at the time and the rear brake lights would not turn off after they turned on from braking.
- Installed the Two Brother Top Tuner kit today. Beyond easy!! Top quality and pleased I gave it a try. Originally I was just going to have my dealer do it. But I figured all my Tupperware had been removed so why not do it while the hard part was done! Took me an hour start to finish without having to remove and reinstall all the Tupperware.
- A few notes on this. The video they have online for the Pro Tuner needs to be watched first for a good visual and understanding. But follow the instructions included with the kit as they are newer and they made the wiring longer and seems like they thought it through better.
- The air-filter in my kit was a K&N version (Even in the K&N box) and was a major PITA to get the old one out.:chill:
- The instructions for the tuner made me think they shipped the tuner without the software installed. So I tried to. Ended up finding out that they did in fact ship it with 0 & 1 & 2 & 3 installed. No big deal, got to kiss the wife as I went back to the garage
hyea:
The front suspension is week and will be replaced sooner than later.
Thanks for that info! A fellow member here that we met in person plans on selling me his when the 2011's finally get shipped to the dealers.. Either that or I will snag a pair if the right set comes along... :thumbup:I haven't seen that color combo in person but it looks awesome in the pics. Congrats. As far as the suspension goes an easy and relatively inexpensive addition is the RT shocks. I am very impressed with them and they flatten the ride substantially.
Glad to hear you are making progress on your mods list, but sorry to hear about the troubles you are running into. I wish you continued luck with everything you want to do.
