• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wireless ear buds for sena Bluetooth headset

I have a sena smh10. I was wondering if anyone has bought Bluetooth wireless ear buds. I'm just not happy with the sound quality. But I don't want to purchase if they will not work.

I tried wired earbuds but they kept pulling out of my ears while ryding due to the cords getting snagged. I haven't tried Bluetooth earbuds, most that I have seen are too big to fit inside my helmet.

I found that with exact placement and by adding pads made for a pair of on-the-ear headphones that the sound from the Sena speakers can be improved. Finding the correct placement inside the helmet is very important or you will lose treble and closeness to the ear gets you more bass.

Adding pads such as these below help the bass a lot, I glued them to the Sena speakers. I pulled my pads off a cheap pair of headphones I already had but I see lots of replacement pads on eBay. Radio Shack used to sell them but I don't see them on-line now though they might still have them in the stores, if you can find one.

A good friend just had a pair of those custom made form fitting noise cancelling ear plugs made up. They have speakers built into them. He's been raving about them recently about how well they sound and stay put.
Not Bluetooth though...

I've tried one set of bluetooth earbuds. Didn't care for them because they're bulky and don't work worth a crap putting helmet on/off. I've been looking for some though too. I see a lot of the kind that come with a neck collar contraption, then two short wires for the earbuds, but I don't want all the phone functions...I'm just looking for something bluetooth just for music from my phone.

What do you want them to work with? The will not pair to your SMH10. Bot they will pair to your phone.
Unlike Sena headsets that can have multiple pairs (e.g. to another headset, a SM10 media streaming device, your phone, a GPS, etc) regular BT headphones can only be paired to one thing at a time. So if your looking for a set of these to replace your SMH10, not going to happen.
