• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Winter storage

storage

my bike is at the dealer waiting on a new fuel canister so judging how getting parts from brp i figure the dealer will store it for me lol

What do y'all recommend to get her ready for six months winter storage?
not that all dealers offer this, but rusty palmers in honesdale,pa stores spyders for their customers at $250.00 for the winter. they put in on a battery tender for you and add fuel stabilizer etc. in the spring, check pressure in tires, crank it up and check the battery, and anything else, you pay for. but for me it's worth it, as it gives us another car stall for the winter.

Used to..!!

so when I did, change oil and filter/filters, fill gas tank add stabilizer, remove battery and store inside add tender when needed only. Cover and add some rodent protection if you have them about even though you never know. This may vary as to where it is stored. Indoor heated not heated etc...good luck and hope you still have some days left....

6 months???

Do you get that much snow and cold weather in NC for 6 months of storage? I don't plan on that much storage here in NH.

Thanks all for your replies. I go south for six months which is why the storage is so long. Weatherwise, here in the mountains it would be about four months. I pretty much expected the answers I got except for rodent protection/prevention. What is suggested to accomplish this task?

You go south and you don't take it with you? Here is another thread on winterizing... http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?58321-Winterizing&highlight=rodent Some suggest plugging exhaust and other orifices with steel wool but a good dose of mouse poison is good...
