• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

WINDSHIELD WITH FLIP

i bought a 7 jurok w/shield before they started doing the flip on top
stock height but wider. would i really gain much or anything by getting
one with a flip. hardly ever run it up much at all anyway. gurus chime in,
please. :bowdown::popcorn:

ps--been too rainy here to get out much, so i ask stupid ?s !!--irv

If your satisfied with the present airflow don't worry about it.I went with a 22 inch with the flip from 7jurock and feel the air flow is the same as stock windshield but I can look over it more now.I also like the wider width.

That lip at the top might just put either you or your passenger in some turbulence... :shocked:
I'd stay with what has been working for you! :thumbup:

turbulent free.

After many different fairings and windshields, I've found that a " flip " just caused turbulence. I don't like looking through the shield but a vented shield ( I have the BRP ) keeps both my wife and my self turbulent free.

I have a 7 JuRock stock height with the flip and I can't tell much difference from the stock screen. The extra width helps, but the flip doesn't change anything. I have had shields with the flip on them on most all of my bikes and liked the way they perform. I also have noticed that I was closer to the shield on my other bikes. I think the distance between the shield and the rider makes a difference in how a shield performs and the increased distance on my Spyder RT may just render the flip useless.

I think vents are needed to help reduce or eliminate the vacuum behind the windscreen created as we cruise. Having a vent actually reduces wind turbulence for the rider and passenger.

I have the +2 7Jurock with flip at top. like the extra width. now I can leave adjust height in lowest position and it flows air over me and passenger. the flip helps a lot, will only need to raise position higher for rain or really cold air. the reason I needed a higher windshield, I got a Russell daylong seat, it raised me up some and air was hitting me right in helmet too much at full height. 6' - 1" rider

they have sensible prices too. have had it since this spring and tried it out enough times to tell we like it

thanks for all the replies. think i'll leave it alone. i had mine made with the
2 lower stock holes in it. just didnt like the the look of the vent in the middle.
thats why we can all have different opinions.--irv:bowdown:
