There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Will the 2014 ST be Kool or Cool?

Let me say that the new RT lineup is awesome!!!!!!!

However, my interest for the moment lies in the ST. Picture 35 of 70 in the 2014 lineup shows new ST side panels. If I read it correctly, it says that these panels will increase air flow and fit on all years of ST's which obviously means the 2013's. Would these panels be the ultimate heat solution for the 2013 ST's?
Am I out of line to suggest it should be part of the recall if that is the case? :dontknow:

So far it looks like these side panels are there to improve cooling. They certainly will allow more fresh air into the area of heat buildup behind the engine and as long as you're moving it should do the trick.

The panels are able to be retrofit onto the 2013 models. The question is, is BRP going to pay for them or do the 2013 owners have to pony up to fix the design issue?

I'm going to guess BRP won't pay for it. There are 2013 owners with no complaints. I don't know how or why, but they exist.

If BRP wants to make us happy, they'll price these panels so low that there's no reason not to do it yourself.

Another problem I see is that the 2014 colors won't match the 2013's so they'll need to be painted which is a fairly significant additional expense. All to take care of a design issue.

Please make this right BRP.

I sent BRP an email this morning to see if they will allow me to test the new side panels on my 2013.....we will see...hopeful...fingers crossed......all those things

Can some one post pics of the 2014

I just don't know how , lol the yellow and black RSS is hot and the white and black one too ,
pick just might paint my sts front black , lol

I know it's probably too early to tell

Would the rims from the new STS or RSS fit on the 2013 sts .

Long as the 2014 Circuit Yellow is the same as the 2013 Circuit Yellow I will be good to go.

Wheels should work on the 2013. Believe I saw that in one of their ads.

The recall was to address the possible melting of the master cylinder manifold or the emissions canister. While it was heat related, it was not aimed to address the heat in general. The new panels are not and will not be part of this particular recall.

Should the ST side panels be part of the recall

I'm seeing similar conclusions being drawn from other posters. I think those that own 2013 ST's should "squeak loudly". I see that all the attention is being put on the new RT lineup which is fine. That does not negate the heat and safety issue for the 2013 ST owners. JMHO

A couple of us have mentioned similar in other threads yesterday.

IMO: The new panels should be made available to 2013 owners either free or at cost if they want them.

Question; Would those panels end up putting more of the hot air back up on the rider? :dontknow:

and that is one a possibility...that's why we need to test the panels....BRP send me a set of the new "enhanced air flow body panels"

 Great to hear. Would be nice to get something like them for my 2013 RT I am more than paranoid now. the recall does not fix the source of the problem as some have said it is a bandaid.

I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for free panels from BRP. To them money always flows one way.
Not always. They've taken care of several owners in the past.

I just don't know they'll take care of everyone with a 2013 without heavy motivation (things catching fire motivates them.)

Several out of how many ? I'm talking based from my exposure to snowmobiles and Spyders over a lot of years.
