There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. With all the problems that we have to endure with this expensive machines, why are we still buying them?
Dess problem! 14 and up
Heat problem! 13s
Frame problem! F3s
Makes me think about it twice before I go on a long trip! :dontknow:

Sounds like your new to the world of Bikes & Trikes!

Have owned 2 Spyders, No issues. F3 Frame problem. How many out of the thousands of F3s have actually had it happened? For those that have had issues, that is what warranties are for.

For the huge majority, few if any problems. I've been East Tennessee to California twice, East Tennessee to Orlando 3 times, East Tennessee to Canada twice. And a lot of 800 + mile trips to other locations.

I did run out of fuel once. I need to call BRP and complain about that! :roflblack:

most people have no problems.:yes::yes::yes:

:agree: Problems are certainly the minority. When I got my 13 St I just thought what have I got myself into. 22,000 miles later I traded it in for a 16 F3 Limited and that ST never was at the dealer for an issue. I will miss it but I already love my F3:yes::yes:

No Problems

I have ridden to Texas and back-1800 miles, Spyderfest and back-1500 miles, and Deadwood, SD and back-4000 miles. No problems at all. As far as I am concerned Spyders are very dependable!! In March I rode with three other Spyder riders to New Orleans and back-1400 miles. None of us had even a minor problem.

Don't forget losing all your coolant when leaving Magog. Oh, I forgot, that was your fault.

First Spyder had no problems until on a 3000 mile trip blows the engine, second Spyder 2011, 6 state trip no problems, already planning the next trip.
If is man made it is prone to breaking:thumbup:

Let's see....

If this opinion is formulated from being here, then don't go to a hospital looking for healthy people...:lecturef_smilie: we help people with problems and if you look there are not that many sick patients here but an exorbanent amount of opinions and solutions offered making it look like everyone is having that problem. Now as to your question....It has to be the most fun you can have on three wheels ever. If you have a glitch here and there you will still not find this kinda of fun and enjoyment anywhere else....:riding::riding::riding:

Man! You guys and your LOOOooooonnnnng memories! I thought I had my records sealed! Now everyone knows! AGAIN!

Pesky little coolant reservoir caps in a tight space. :opps:

How many think Gold Wing is a paragon of reliability? Remember the the 2002/2003 with the bad frames and Honda only wanted to weld them up? The early 80's Gold Wings with the stator problems that Honda never acknowledged and you had to remove the engine to fix. The 89-91 with the transmissions that went bad. The 83 to 85 Yamaha Ventures with the bad transmissions that took Yamaha 3 years to fix. The BMW's with the ongoing final drive problems? The Harley's with the ongoing heat problems. Etc Etc. Etc

Most don't have any real problems,of course if yours isn't in that category it can be very frustrating. I hope you get your problems fixed and get to enjoy your Spyder as much as we do ours.

We are on our second Spyder. The first one being a 2012 RT Limited (no issues with it) and traded it in on our 2014 RT Limited. The only issue I had with the 2012 RT Limited is that I wish it had the powertrain of our 2014 RT Limited!

We have put on over 35,000 miles on these Spyders without any major issues.:clap:  I do most of the maintenance on the bikes and they are fine machines. :firstplace: The maintenance takes a little longer to do as the motor is "buried" on these RT's behind the tupperware and other parts. The maintenance is the only complaint that I would have as oil changes, spark plug changes, etc. take much longer on these machines than other bikes. I can live with that!

They are fun bikes to have and I enjoy the 3 wheel Spyder as much as 2 wheel riding. Spyders are evolving just like any other motorcycle does and will get better as time goes on. The people you meet and the groups for the Spyder Ryders are excellent as well!

Enjoy the ride!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D

Thanks for asking why. Look at all the positive comments made as a result of your question. I have a 2012 RTS with 30,000 great riding miles. Been to spyderfest, Omaha NE, Fredericksburg VA, Camden NC. and rode skyline drive / blueridge parkway from beginning to end with no problems. Also met some of the greatest people ever. Thanks BRP.

You can take the 2013 RT's off that list now. They fixed that heat problem and those machines are GREAT now. Mine has been super reliable. Wouldn't be afraid to go ANYWHERE on it (after I get my new knees. :D )
