• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I 100% agree with Scotty here. As I can think of many reasons why I like them all equally. And in order to have a favorite, that takes personal communication and time. All of this we do not get as a whole for all parties involved.

I will add, I think BRP chose wisely and each person brought a different flavor to the table. That to me is what it is about.

Besides... This is like going to a Ford lot and asking about opinions of Chevy...

I vote Lamont. Just wondering if I am missing something here though? I read a lot of posts daily and consider myself pretty active here. Have I missed Ambassador postings--telling us where they have been, what they have done, pictures of events?

To me it seems like the official ambassadors came on the site at first, and then we have not heard from them since.

Some of you may have seen them out and about--but I have not heard of events or seen any in person.

I do not go to the BRP site--I felt that was a waste of my time a couple of years ago. I get all my :spyder2: information here.

Wow--that felt good--adding some controversy to an Arntufun thread. :roflblack:

I don't pick favorites. If "All-of-the-Above" was a choice, I would have voted. Seriously, each ambassador brings a little different flavor to the mix. I like it all. Some are tech savvy, others rack up the miles, some do great video and pictures, others write good articles. I love the perspective of the newcomer, the lady rookie, the experienced veteran, and the gearhead. I like the mix of the RS and the RT as their rides. They all get my vote. This is the greatest and most active group BRP hass assembled yet!

My Mom said I'd never grow up to be a diplomat...guess she was wrong. :)

They are not required to post on here, but Mickey has been the most active on this forum of the other four. Another plus for Mickey !!! Lamont runs this site and has to come on here daily to make sure I'm being good. His job has been easy lately, but I have holes in my tounge from biteing it. :roflblack::roflblack:
Careful with the controversy, you do not want to be in the jerk catagory with me. :roflblack::roflblack:

Fun poll, too bad none of the Hierarchy has taken part yet. I voted for Lamont, Mickey has been awesome and a great guy to meet but the bar has been set by Lamont and everyone else is slightly limboing under it.

However its a shame none have chimed in here soliciting votes yet, the first to do it I may change my vote.

BTW, Scotty far to PC on this one.:lecturef_smilie:

Jim:thumbup:

I vote for the newest ambassador. the triangler hero Forrest.:ohyea: Oh yeh he's not on the list at the top of this page. But he is on mine.

For me A Real Ambassador is someone who paid for their Spyder and doesn't have a factory Vin, so when there's a problem with Their Spyder,
They have to Waite for repairs like most. Do you think if Fred Rau, needed a new engine or ECM He would have to Waite weeks for repairs??

I vote for Forrest too! Who else has done what he did at age 79 !

The most votes for a guy thats not even on a Spyder ??? Shame on you people . :lecturef_smilie::roflblack::roflblack:

Come on that guy road a spyder to sturgis crawled off got on a 650hp chopper and road it like a champ! Then got back on his spyder and continued on..... It takes ALOT of guts to do that!!! I'm not sure all of us really know why the call him the Lamonster, but I'm sure he earned it... He's got my respect, but not voting, this vote should not be.

Why would you say this vote should not be ??? But its ok when people say Cowtown is there favorite dealer right ??? :2thumbs:

BTW..... It would be ALOT more impressive if you and Lamont rode RS's to Sturgis, instead of those lazy boy recliners.:ohyea::clap:

Whatever, I'm not running a poll, and I did last year and so did Lamont, and lol I didn't see u out here did I? Just don't think it's right to run a poll like this its not even fair, each of the 5 are in there own class and finding there spot, good bad or ugly. Lamont, and Fred have a life time in the mc industry , Fran and Mickey are just getting started, but in a total different realm. Just wouldn't want them to feel unwelcome.

Got to agree with Scotty here. Not really a fair question. Each does bring another aspect and they all represent something in each of us.

But we are all Spyder Ambassadors aren't we? Everywhere I go people ask me about my Spyder and I do my best to represent it accurately as well as my enthusiasm for the machine and the experience.

There is no question that Lamont has done more for the Spyder than anyone else I know. But the other ambassadors bring things to the Spyder that Lamont can’t. No 1 person can adequatly represent everyone that rides this machine.

Bottom line, they are all great and I think BRP did a fantastic job selecting each one. Great idea with great execution! Kind of like the Spyder itself!
