• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

who would like to see this happen?

i love speed so i was wondering what if we stretched the spyder just a little more and attached something that will keep it on the ground and put a jet turbine on it. i think i would love to take something like that down a track. if anyone would like to donate a turbine i will be glad to put it on my spyder and take it down the track.

There is a co. That builds 2 wheeler with jet engine at $200k each.
Some one got a speeding on it at like 200 mph and base fine was $50000.
I am sure with enough money, they will build one.

I'm getting this incredible image in my head of this guy, oh I don't know, maybe me :D Strapped to that thing just screaming like a banshee down a wide open expanse! To coin a phrase, "going Mach 2 with my hair on fire"! :roflblack:

What a rush!!

I'm a low performance kind of guy, so this stuff just makes my knees weak...
But it IS fun to live vicariously through the experiences of others... If you build it, I'll send flowers to the hospital!

(Thinking of the story of the guy who strapped a jet engine to his car out in the desert... :yikes:)

it was just a thought. i would never have enough money to build it but it would be mind blowing to maybe hit 200mph in the 1/8mile. they had a jet bike at the track one night i went and it was awesome.

Back in the 60's Art Arfons [Green Monster] would run the 1/8 mile at Islip Long Island .I don't recall what his times were but he would have to shut it down half way so he wouldn't go though the retaining wall.

I think that he was also the fellow who survived a crash at Bonneville at over 500mph... :yikes::yikes::bowdown::bowdown: (or was that 600mph?)

I love the spoolup sound of a turbine (T58) (J79) (PT100) etc. I would like just the sound file connected to the bike as part of the startup.:2thumbs:

Don't forget Doug Rose and his Green Mamba. Doug drove for Art back in the day and lost his legs in one of Art's "cars" then went on to build the Green Mamba. I had the pleasure of meeting Doug and his lovely wife back in the early 70's when he came to our gun shop and displayed the Mamba. Somewhere around here I still have several autographed pictures of Doug, his wife and the Mamba. A wonderful couple, last I heard he was working on breaking the sound barrier with one of his jet cars.

LOL, sorry I just donated my last one! :roflblack:

Collect some money and buy 2 of them

1 for SETHO, and the other 1 for DOC, let them go at it, in front of COWTOWN. It would be AWSOME :yes:

I don't know about dochands but I thought it was a very good movie. A brand new way to look at vampires. I thoroughly enjoyed it and might go back to see it again. :2thumbs:

Thanks I will check it out - looked good in preview - I'm a movie buff I like vampires like Kate Beckinsale best. My normal preference in the horror zone are Zombie flicks.
