Who would have thought that Grip Puppies could make such a difference!

Who would have thought a twenty dollar add-on could make such a difference. I started out putting them on my Ryker Rally (2020), as the grips were getting pretty worn. It only took a single ride before I decided that my new 2023 F3 should get them too.

I’ve put them on all my bikes over the years. My only complaint with the spyders is when using the heated grips they stifle the temperature quite a bit. Other than that they’re great.

Do you guys wear gloves with these? I'm always wearing riding gloves. I'm not sure how well that would work with a grip cover. Thanks.

I always wear gloves ( ATGATT ) .

I had the SlingMods foam grips on my 2019 RTL. They were really thick, nice for no buzz but no heat came thru them. Also because they were so thick, changed the way you had to roll the throttle. Dont think i would buy them again.

Lamonster has some that are thinner and he says the heat comes thru just fine. I'd buy from him.

I am using the foam grip covers that Lamonster sells. End result feels pretty much akin to the Kuryakyn ISO grips I had on my Honda CTX1300. I like it, and my wife is happy with hers, too. I wear deerskin gauntlet gloves all the time, she wears thin leather or none.

I did use grip heat when I first installed them. Heat did seem to come through OK. Heated grips don’t get used much here in Arizona.

I was getting some wrist and shoulder pain and was pretty sure it was size of grips. Put the grip puppies on and it took care of the numbness that was plaguing me.

Grip Puppies here as well. For me, they are a requirement on my motorcycle as my hands would go numb and I have "trigger finger(s)" from time to time.

I am concerned about putting them on my F3-S because I have factory heated grips. I have heard they are not terribly good compared to aftermarket, and I intend to ride the Spyder further into the colder weather than the Z900 I have. I also wear gloves (ATGATT) so that will diminish heat transfer as well.

I'm holding off for now, as I'm thinking the riding position, stability, and cruise control may mean I won't need them. Worse case - I need to buy heated gloves.

Get some Grip Buddies Lites. Heat comes thru well (as much as can be expected on F3 heated grips) and they have a nicer texture than the foam covers. Love them on my RT STS, as well as on my past F3S. I used them all (Grip Puppies/Lamonster leather like/Grab On).

You have my interest, but did you actually find them for $20 somewhere, as they show to be $30 ($29) on the site. I think I'll go with the lites myself because I think the foam aftermarkets I have now are too thick for my taste, and I do plan on riding throughout the winter, and want some heat from the grip heaters. (And my grip heaters are actually too hot without some sort of cover on the grips!)

Edit: never mind; I JUST noticed the difference in your responses, Grip Puppies vs Grip Buddies vs Grip Buddy Lites. It looks like the Grip Puppies are about the same size and texture as the foam covers that SpyderPops sells that I have now. I will definitely go with the Grip Buddy Lites.

I use the LaMonster grip covers that have the leather like look and feel. On high the heat comes thru but it does take a little while. I also wear a fairly thick glove, yet I can still feel the heat. They show on the LaMonster site at 14.95

I find the leather like covers make my hands sweaty w/out wearing gloves. With gloves on, you can't feel the leather texture..

I've used Grip Puppies on my two wheeled bikes and liked them.

I considered adding them to my F3 but I was wondering if the Puppies would stretch enough to fit over the 'flange' on the outside of the OEM grips?

Those who have installed these, were you able to stretch em enough to over the ends of the stock grips?
