• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Who out there has Removed their Zumo mount and wiring? Use it for USB/phone?

I have a new to me 2014 RT with 10K miles. The Zumo GPS is old and outdated. Who out there in the Spyder-verse has removed their Zumo mount and wiring? Have any of you used the existing wiring to feed a USB/phone power cable? Give me your advice and experiences.
Thanks

I removed my Zumo XT and now use a Carpuride 702 Carplay unit, and now I have Waze and other GPS mapping as well as complete control of my cell phone for music, calls and others

I am just thinking about powering my iPhone. I've got a couple of good riding route apps, so I am good with the phone.

My Zumo 665 works great for the phone, I just haven't been able to get the XM working like it used to on my 2012. Something about the harness. There's a pigtail I put on the radio to allow it to use the Sena dual doohickey in the back that BRP sold, works with both helmets and I have an old iPod 30pin that shows playlists and tracks. But I still wish I could find someone who could get my XM working. That Carpuride looks nice but it's a job taking the Zumo Stand out. Entails removing all the tupperware and then getting to the wire and then loosening the 4 hd allens holding it in.

Is there a current Zumo replacement GPS?

I also just bought a 2014 RT. Seller couldn't find the GPS and said they could never get it to work anyway.
