• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is there any detailed manual available for the 10.25" display system? How do you use it with your phone and headsets?

The documentation in the manual about the new 10.25" display is, at the very least, scarce… Is there any more detailed manual available for it?

I’m not an iPhone user, so I intend to continue using my Garmin Zumo and occasionally the BRP Go! app… But when it comes to pairing headsets and phones, I’m a bit confused about how far I’ll be able to use the Spyder’s system.

Is it possible to pair a phone and two headsets (rider and passenger) and broadcast the phone’s audio to both headsets?

How do people with the new display usually use it with their phones and headsets?

Thanks,
Best regards.

Since you're not an iPhone user there's no reason to pair your phone or anything else to the Spyder.

The question then becomes how do you pair two bluetooth headsets to your phone? You do it through the Bluetooth settings on your phone, the details of which are going to be specific to your phone.

I am an iPhone user, and have my SENA helmet headset and my iPhone bluetooth paired to my Spyder using the instructions in the Apple Carplay section of my 2024 Spyder RT Operators Guide, which starts on Page 50. And yes, I've used Apple CarPlay for navigation on my Spyder's display.

I too am an Android user and I DO pair the phone and headsets to the Spyder so I can control my music with the bikes controls and see data on what is playing on the screen as well as seeing who is calling. Although I am re-thinking this because as soon as the bike connects to the heat set my volume goes up if I have already connected the intercom first.

One thing I learned is that for Apple CarPlay you only need two connections.

First disconnect your iPhone from your helmet’s Bluetooth connection by forgetting the connection.

Now connect you iPhone to the Spyder using a USB DATA cable.

Now connect your helmets to your Spyder via Bluetooth.

You don’t need the Bluetooth connection from the phone to the Spyder, that’s just for some of the BRP features, not CarPlay. If you do everything through CarPlay which I would recommend, then you’ll be fine. You’ll have to pair the iPhone to the Spyder via Bluetooth if you want to use the native BRP apps outside of CarPlay.

By simplifying the number of connections you get fewer issues it seems.

If you have an Android phone and use the new version of the BRP Go! App then the map features are primitive.

Frankly I just connect my iPhone to the Spyder via a USB POWER ONLY CABLE, and pair my helmets to the iPhone not the Spyder. This way I don’t use the CarPlay at all, which I think works better to be honest.
