• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi Patti & Bob,

Re: Your Birthday is in September also??

18th for me,

Jerry Baumchen

PS) Other than being my birthday, anyone know why the 18th is a 'somewhat' special day?

:clap::congrats:
I stake my claim to the 30th.
My Mom said that I couldn't stand the thought of an October birth date. :roflblack:

Hi folks,

Re: anyone know why the 18th is a 'somewhat' special day?

OK, I guess I'll have to tell you. It is the birthday of the US Air Force.

I spent almost four years in the USAF & everytime that I went up for Airman of the Month, they always asked, 'What is the Air Force birthday?'

Not once did even one of them look into my personnel file & notice that it was the same day.

I always got if correct, :yes:

Hi Patti,

Re: Jerry, you're at least one day older than me!

Uh, I think it's a lot more than one day. :yikes:

PS) For many years I worked in the same office with a guy whose birthday was on the 17th. One day, on the 17th, as I came into the office, the secretary said, 'Happy Birthday.' I replied that today was not my birthday but John's. Just at that moment John walked in. So, I asked him if he got his birthday present that morning. He turned beet red and wandered off mumbling to himself. I guess he must have gotten his present. :yes:

PPS) Also, for the 30 yrs that I worked for the federal gov't., I took my birthday off every year.
