I think that I've got a 6th generation Ipod... About the size of a Saltine cracker... I'm having trouble getting it to hook up properly and stay charged... Perhaps there's a bug in the machine with mine??? :gaah::dontknow:
I have had the same issue with my 2012 RT limited. It worked with the 5th generation nano...and then it didn't. Always says AUX and won't let me scroll thru songs. Used to charge and now doesn't charge it up.
Just bought the 6th generation nano incase it was a 'software communication' issue. It work for about 2 secs and went back to the same old problem of not recognizing it.
Definitely let me know what they find with your bike and I'll do the same! it is definitely not the nano...something is weird in the bike electronics...

Experiencing the same issue with new 2012 RT :spyder2: and iPod. Seems if the cable is not in tight it may causes this.
Going to mention it to the dealer this Tuesday and see what they have to say. :yikes:
Could it be that the 6th gen. Ipods just won't work correctly with the :spyder2:'s stereo?? :gaah:
That is usually the result of a loose cable...either not latched on both sides in the iPod, or loose at the jack in the Spyder. The dealer has said that all the latest Apple stuff should work. iphone, itouch, nano...
Mine used to work and then stopped recognizing it. It would come up on the screen 'ipod' then after a few minutes would switch to 'aux' with no way to play thru songs.
