• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wheres the Kickstand?

So was out for an early lunch with a friend. As we are taking our gear off, this guy walks up to us and asks me where the kick stand is on the Spyder. I looked at my friend with a blank stare and he chimes in with "its right there." as he points to the front of the spyder. The guy walks in front and says "I don't see it". Some people out there just don't have a clue. Went into a conversation about it has 3 wheels and does not need one. He still had the deer in the headlight look when we walked away.

I've had people asking me about it and I open the frunk and show theme the space and they say oh! I thought that was just for looks. Duh!:yikes:

It's also possible the guy who asked about the kickstand was messing with you. :roflblack:

I do like the where is the motor, open the frunk ploy though. I think I am going to save that one for future use.

I think it would be hilarious to put a kickstand on it somewhere. When someone asks, you just tell them that Can-Am thought of every contingency....:roflblack:

There is someone on SL that did mount a kickstand on their :spyder2:. I just cannot remember who at the moment. There was even a picture or two.

On a Spyder, kickstand = parking brake.

On my first ride, when I shut mine off, I didn't put on the parking break, and it really didn't like that.

BROKE

i tell'm it broke off.... :yikes: and they still look for it.... duh :banghead:
YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID..... :roflblack:

KICK STAND

Some place in the arcives I am SURE there are at least 4 pages of answers to the question of the kick stand and of course all the EXTREMELY witty comments!!! The end of the whole thing came when Lamont put a trailer hitch next to his foot peg and said THAT should make sure it won't fall over!!! I am still laughing over some of the comments made about the thing. Like " does it go faster with it UP or down!!!" Spyder lovers are notorious for their humor!!!:roflblack::roflblack::bowdown:
