Where there is smoke...

Having been here since before 2013 you can imagine the thoughts as I came home, drove into the garage and parked to find smoke streaming out of one of the ram air ducts...

fins are a bit blackened....So as I remove the side panel to see whats going on I find the problem....what you might ask. This is the reason you should not buy 1000 zip ties for a buck. Apparently they let loose dropping my air duct (molded plastic tip) onto the exhaust pipe. Makes for a lot of smoke. Guess its time to make a metal tip and a fixed mount...:banghead:

Thankfully; this issue had an easy source that was easy to find and fix! :thumbup:

I found stainless on Amazon cheep. Had the same problems.

HF tie wraps are not that cheap, as I use 3 or 4 to do the job of one decent one.
