Sorry my friend, I didn't forget, but I've been busy trying to finish the bike in time for SpyderFest and had a death in the family. Just getting our portion of SpyderFest ready combined with everything else has just wiped all of my pic time out.

I won't have anything up before we leave for Cowtown tomorrow. Once back, I'll pick up where I left off and hopefully put up some stuff that will be helpful for anyone interested.

hey Kev, I was just giving you a ruff time lol I knew you were busy and im very sorry to hear about the passing of a family member these are never easy. I will be waiting for more pics and info on the lighting your doing. I have made a small diagram of the lighting om going to be doing on the rt. This is not a cheap endevor these led lights, but it should lookgood when all done. I am waiting for reggie to get back from Spyderfest I need to have a chat with him about all the lights and about a fuze block hmmm more planing. Take care and have a safe trip to Cuba

Kev- I know YOU know this, but for the rest of SL to read.....

I am SO SO proud of what you've done. And it looks REALLY great. REALLY great.

This again proves that if you believe in yourself, even a little, and realize that when it comes to LEDs, if you mess anything up, you're likely not out TOO much money. Use some of the basic things that Kevorama and others have posted to give it a try. Maybe start with a simple task like putting LED strips in your trunk that simply plug into the 12v accessory outlet. Do things in small steps and test your lights as you go (notice the battery on Kev's workbench). The sense of accomplishment is exhilarating. So dive in and light your world!

Now.... If you don't have soldering skill or basic electrical skills... there are GREAT sponsors here on SL that are very willing to help and supply what you might need. Reggie is one. It might cost a LITTLE more, but you'll get a great result from TRUE professionals.

There are also a few of us that are willing to hold your hand as you go ( as time and the day jobs permit).

Hey Kev your Spyder is way to cool. I cant believe how it turned out and its even harder to imagine all the work you put into it, pictures don't show the hard work, hours of sitting and melting wires together and basically tearing the bike down to bare bones wow:bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:. I know for some people they would never go this far with their own Spyder but for some of us it really is what we like. I like a good challenge once in a while it keeps the brain cells charged up and this project looks like it kept you very busy. I really like the glow of the lights on the side of the frame this is some thing i may use on mine next winter. Kev you did an outstanding job on this Spyder I hope your proud of the fact that you did this yourself AWESOME JOB BUDDY:clap:

Just checking to see if you used electronics safe silicone to water proof, there are special silones that do not contain the acids that regular silicone has. If regualr silicone is used it will eventually eat away at the wire or printed circuit board.

Good question. I'm at work and can't remember just what it was that I used. I only did it on a couple of solder joints. I found that it caused more issues that couldn't easily be redone if I fouled a connection. The heat shrink tubing worked well enough by itself.

To the rest of you, thanks for the accolades. The next ones are going to be single color that will have quick connects. I'm thinking red, white & blue. Should look good on a red RTS. :thumbup:
