• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What the HECK was I thinking last Fall?

What the HECK was I thinking last Fall?

After BRP announced the newly designed 2014's, I thought long and hard about it. Even with the riding season almost over in Ohio, I wondered if I should spring for a new Spyder even though my 2012 RT-S SM5 has been a pleasure to own and operate.

Then all the posts began (from the anxious early buyers) waiting for the arrival of their new Spyders; then the early reports on their riding experiences; etc. etc. etc.

Once I got back on my Spyder this spring - I began to wonder "What the HECK was I thinking last Fall?".

Boy, am I glad I stuck with my current Spyder.

I am happy for those who bought and I enjoy reading about their riding experiences on their new Spyders. But at the end of the day, I am happy with my 2012 RT-S SM5.

From everything I read, the 2012 was the best year for the Spyder and I am glad I kept mine.

Not to rain on your parade

I had a 2012 RT Ltd which I thoroughly enjoyed. It was great! I cannot even believe how much better my 2014 RT Ltd is.

I loved my 2010 RTS. I loved my 2012 RTL, and I love my 2014 RTL twice as much as both of them together......

 Good for you! It's nice to be able to say you're content with what you have.

I am really happy with my 12 RT. Talked to a dealer about a 14. He said he would not wax it 3 times. That was up to me. So, I still have my red 12 with about 50 coats of wax. 51 tomorrow as I rode it on Bert's Megamall canyon cruise yesterday, and I noticed dust on it this morning. The dealer wouldn't even meet me part way on the wax.

I thought long and hard about replacing my 2011 RT-AC with a 2014 RTS. Even took an extremely long test ride on the 2014. It's everything everyone says it is.

But I like my 2011 just fine and decided to stay with it.

I will have to say this

just wait until the 2015's come out … you'll hear the same thing …. lol.

If the 2015 has as much improvement over the 2014 as the 2014 has over the prior models, the 2015 will get 50+ mpg and out-handle any road racer out there!

Wisdom outweighs hype!

Agree..!!

But then again after investing 5 years in the development of the new RT 1330 ACE you think you will have big changes in 2015..?? just wondering..I think there will be refinements but not much more. After 2013 ST and 2014 RT they will continue to work on customer relations and see where they are at and what there next step should be..jmo...
