• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What the HECK was I thinking last Fall?

Just don't ride one of the 2014 RT's as you will find it is the best spyder that they have put out yet. I am loving my 6850 miles on this new 2014 RTS since February!

I was all over the board on what to do. Had both a 2010 and 2011 RT and was very happy with both. When it looked like I would not be going for a 2014, I rationalized that I was very happy with what I had.

I went through a series of ups and downs before I finally ended up buying the 2014. The new engine and other things were finally what made me do it.

I put a thousand miles on mine the first week. No buyers remorse here.

just wait until the 2015's come out … you'll hear the same thing …. lol.

And that is the absolute truth! At this time last year, wasn't the 2013 the cat's meow? In reality, 95% of us don't push the RT hard enough to truly decipher the differences from year to year. Compared to the 2014, the 2012 is certainly not a Model T.

Prior to owning a Spyder, I owned a 1994 Goldwing. Yes, the later models of Goldwing included many nice things. The engine went from 1500cc to 1800cc; better audio system (my 1994 had a built-in cassette player - LOL); redesign of the shell to give it a more aerodynamic look; etc. But it ran like a beauty from day one and while I was jealous of the new models - not so much I had to dump my old Goldwing.

I guess the trick is to admire from afar; but not be so covetous that I need to switch out. It is great fun to read about the 2014's (whassup with the tire wear?) and I enjoy all the posts from those who chose to make the switch.

But, as God is my witness, I think my 2012 RT-S runs better this year, then last year --- and I love it!

I"m changing my tire at 9,500 miles which is just a little short of what I had on my 2013 when it was ready for a new tire. The whassup with the tires is they continue to use Kenda's, which suck.

I wish Michelin or a quality tire maker would come out with a set for the Spyder. CanAm changing sizes on the front from 14" to 15" probably didn't give the tire mfg's a warm and fuzzy feeling about producing tires though

Spyders are still a pretty low-numbers vehicle; it probably doesn't make economic sense for the manufacturers to jump in...

I have a '13 ST-S and love it! No serious heat problems and it's paid for! Got 10,000 miles out of the rear Kenda. Now have the Kumho Ecxta AST. Much better tire IMO.
