There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It's not one of the Triumph Police Specials modded up a little is it?? Some of the features look very similar to theirs, but then....
I think they made a bunch of slightly different versions over the years, most of the later (post 1966?) versions were all based around the Trophy or TR6 and many had different set-ups & some 'unique' variations to suit the particular role they were ordered for. Maybe that's one of the fairly rare US delivered TR6SS units after some customisation & a nicer paint job - the Blackish/Green colour scheme we saw here looked like old puke!! :yikes:
Any background on the where/when of that pic, it could help nail down the particular bike/model?!

I believe it's is a late 40's ,1950's Indian twin,motor I believe was built by Royal Enfield. If you google 1950 's Indian Parallel twin you'll see plenty of pictures. Same tranny and engine case's, same massive barrels and heads, same right foot, long shifter. The exact year? I maybe wrong. Engine was 700 CC I believe.

Maybe, maybe not. I looked at a whole page of Google images for BSA A7 and although this one looks quite similar to those images there are differences that indicate it's not an A7. Most notably, to me, is the front wheel hub. It's just not the same as the one in the images and the ones in the images are all much the same. None of the images have the tubes, or whatever they are, by the back seat, although the ones in the OP pic could be add-ons.

Definitely a Royal Enfield 700 Twin. Was called the Meteor in the UK though they may have had a different name in the states.
The real give away is the lever on the gear box that you can just see coming across from the back of the gearbox behind the kickstart to just past the start of the proper gear lever. This is the "Neutral finder" lever that would take you directly from any gear (except 1st) into Neutral. You kick down on it with your heel. This was sold as a feature but in a reality the downshift on a Royal Enfield is terrible so when you were in 3rd or 4th it was often easier to use this to
go to neutral and then go up to 2nd rather than trying to change down
Having ridden a Royal Enfield during my 'informative years' of riding motorbikes I still sometimes find myself automatically go to use that lever when I want to change down
The triangular side panel is also tells you this is the Royal Enfield - never seen one with a round battery cover like this one though, normally they are oblong.
The seat is also a characteristic Royal Enfield shape.
As others have mentioned it's possible this is a Royal Enfield Meteor that was rebadged as an Indian Trailblazer or Tomahawk. However I thought it was just the Super Meteors that they did this to which had a different shaped side panel. Also the Indian versions that I've seen have had sprung seats.

Tons of great feedback. Unfortunately I do not have the answer. As a kid I thought I remember him saying it was a '55 Indian. I'm going with the Royal Enfield guesses as it is the closest as far as resemblance. Dad was known to hodge podge things together so it may be a combination of who knows what.
