Hey guys just checking to see what most guys are paying for Spyder Insurance - I'm with nationwide and its like $500 for full coverage 300K and it jumps to around $800 with un-insured coverage. Also if i get in an accident will my health insurance cover me?

I did a quote with geigo and it was a lot cheaper around $500 with uninsured

Thanks - Mike

WELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Everyone has different circumstances that will effect their rates ..... I'm in my third year with Dairyland I have very good FULL coverage which includes UN-INSURED motorist and they just lowered my premium to 188.35 per 12 mos. ....I do have $1000.00 deductible on collision .... but my trailer is fully covered, and $ 5,000 in Mods....... I live in Vermont .....Mike

He tells me that the rates are high because of Atlanta and all the stolen cars and accidents - yep I'm shopping, if anyone else cares to post there rates it would be appreciated.

We paid $443 dollars for both my wife and I for a year with Country Companies. That includes un-insured motorist and the second highest coverage amounts with $500 deductible.

My insurance at Nationwide is not looking too shabby - the guy from Vermont at $188 a year you might want to double check you coverage - I just did a quote and it came to $760 I have no accidents at all nor any tickets WTF?

No that's the right price price I'm 10 miles south of Vt and have full coverage for 202. guess thieves just aren't interested in farm tractors and horse & buggy's keeps our rates down.

Insurance companies will target certain markets, riders, and machines; they will then price their products accordingly...

Thank you, I just checked & the ONLY difference between mine and yours is the price :yikes: .... like I said at the start of my post - different circumstances will effect your rates ....... Mike

:agree: Trying to compare insurance pricing across State lines is a wasted and pointless act. nojoke
EACH State has their own insurance rules and regulations that the Companies must adhere to.

Coverage

Make sure you also sign up for American Motorcycle Association membership. You get 35 miles of free towing along with it. My Allstate policy only provides for 15 miles. It more than paid for itself the one time my Spyder broke down and had to be towed 32 miles! :riding:

I'm in WA state...I pay 258.00 but my first annual renewal is coming up...soooo based on what Mike posted should I expect a lower premium? Sure I can expect, but reality is I had a $6000 un insured hit and run....be interesting to see what happens. But Dairyland is the best coverage for best annual premium in my area.

Hi Karyl, the first year with Dairyland for the same policy coverage I have now I paid $ 239 .....last year it lowered to $ 209 ..... now it's $ 188.00 - so it appears they like folks to re-new and give a nice discount ....... Hope you get one also     ..........Mike , Max , & Kiki :D

Mike,

I am insured with Geico and I pay $465.00 ( twelve month premium) with full coverage + Towing/Labor. With the highest coverage that they have. I have 300k.

No accidents/ discounts/ anti-theft device, and have been with Geico for 4 years. I have a 2014RTS-SE6 spyder. Also, Geico has a winter storage rates. Deanna

Thanks for all the input I guess $200-300 insurance is a thing of the past - I'll recheck Geico seems they might be more inline with prices.
