• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What do other bikes get?

Well I never bought any MC for mileage, but I have run my 1800 Goldwing 240 miles on a tank of reg. fuel. And If Honda ever built there own trike, I would most likely have one. But I do love my Spyder. Even if it is APITA to change oil.

When I had my Vulcan 900 I got 47 miles per gallon. I could go 200 miles before refueling if I had to. (5.3 gallon tank).

We went to Seward AK yesterday--143 miles one way. I refueled in Seward and drove all the way home. There are still 3 bars left on the digital gauge. My low fuel light goes on at about 2 bars. I am guessing when we fuel up this AM that each bike will take about 4.2 gallons. We are now getting about 34 mph since each riding our own :spyder2:,s, instead of two up.

Akspyderlady's fuel consumption is comparable to mine and we usually are within one to two tenths difference on equal mileage fill ups.

I am okay now with going 180-185 before filling up if I have to.

It is all math...

TO start... Most I've ever been able to fill with is 6 gallons from what must have been almost bone dry.

At interstate speeds... 75MPH I get 30-32 MPG - though sometimes less... That equates to about 180 miles, but I start sweating with the gas lamp comes on... I figure that gives me a 30 mile warning.

At 45 MPH on back roads enjoying the view and just putting along... I've gotten 38 MPG...

The most I've ever ridden before filling up was just north of 180 miles though.
