• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What Did You Do To Your RYKER Today?

Installed the aluminum handguards and lighting kit.

Note to anyone adding the handguards to a '22 Sport;
You won't use one of the four supplied half-circle clamps for the back of the guard, as this is already there as the bezel for the cruise control button.

I installed the comfort seat and managed to break off one mounting tab :mad:. BRP, please use a better plastic material or a metal tab system, because you know most people don't want to lift the body off to install a seat that *should* just snap into place. I never had to disassemble any motorcycle I had to remove the seat.

Evarbody, DO heat the tabs when installing the seat. Makes them more flexible and reduces breakage.

PS - seems to me somebody used heavy duty paper clips that still fit thru the mounting holes to squeeze the tabs - apparently they were able to remove the clips after installation .,,

Ryker is mostly my wife's ride, and she's 5'6". She asked me to put it on its highest position, as that allows her to look through the windshield. On the lowest position, she said the top edge was right in the middle of her sight line.

When I sit on the bike (I'm 6'3"), I find the highest setting puts the edge in the middle of my eyeline, so I'd probably ride with it lowered....

Will definitely let you know once the weather clears and we can get some miles on it.

Took a ride out to Wagner Field on Eglin Air Force base property, site of training activities for the W.W. II Doolittle raid on Tokyo - 80 years ago this week.

Last weekend I installed new 3D LED headlamps from Slingmods. I have only done a little night riding because I was not very impressed with the view the OEM headlights provide. I got instructions from the video on the Slingmods site, and also a couple of Youtube videos. I decided to make it easier and just completely remove the headlight assemblies, since it's only 3 additional screws. It made a nice improvement. Here are a couple of photos of the headlights shining on my garage door, first with the OEMs, second with the new 3Ds:

Had my 1st group ride the other day :D.

And today some TLC - ie putting some Gopro Sealant on the panels for weather & dirt protection.

Finally installed the BajaRon sway bar yesterday. Did it without removing the front end. It wasn't too bad. Just takes time is all. Haven't tested it though. It's the wife's bike and it's decked out in hot pink.

I gave my Ryker Rally a good washing today, and sprayed it with Mother's Back to Black.

I didn't realize how close I was to the truck turning into the garage. I ran the Shad hard saddlebag up against my truck, crapping it all up, plus rubbing off the logo, AND I scratched my truck bumper up. So, that's what I did to my Ryker today. :mad:
