• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to/with your Spyder today?

99 degrees Wednesday and 100 yesterday (both new records) with a heat index of 107 and 110. Today is supposed to also set a record and cooling down to 96 tomorrow. But since it is the weekend, I will try to get out around 7am and get a couple of miles in around the lake and watch some people get their last boating of the season in.

According to my owner's manual the rev limiter kicks in at 8100 RPM. If you left it in 4th gear hopefully your rev limiter took over. For max acceleration I shift up at around 5,500 RPM.
I tend to go a bit above peak torque so that when I change up the next gear is pulling close to 5,000 rpm so it is pulling close to peak torque in the next gear. I'm always riding two up and above 5,000 feet (so I'm about 10-15% down on power), so it takes a while to get back into the power band. Like always, there are compromises to revving out and to short shifting, I'm pulling slightly more revs to help the gear I'm changing into perhaps at the cost of torque dropping off a bit for the gear I'm in.
