There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What are the first top 5 Accessories to RT Limited?

I just purchased a new 2014 RT Limited (Cognac) and have already learned a great deal by reading this forum and everyone's posts. I know this is a subjective question but I was wondering what folks think are the best accessories to start adding on? Seems like everyone likes the sway bar. What accessories should I start with first?

:congrats: on your wise choice of bike! :2thumbs:
Accessories...
It's awfully tough to narrow down the list to just five. :yikes:
1. BajaRon's Anti-Swaybar.
2. TricLEDs extra brakelights out back.
3. Spyderpop's lighted Bumpskid up front.
4. An ultimate seat... with a backrest, and a fueling door.
5. Lots of fuel to "process" through it, and enjoy the ride!

My thoughts of what I like best.
1: Bajaron anti sway bar
3: If you plan on long trips luggage rack and 15x15 web net and inside saddle bag lid nets.
2: Drink holders
4: Make it yours custom wrap or stripes
5: I velcro my cars GPS under dash over the heat gauge. pluged in very easy to see there.
Long trips Schuberth C3 helmet with Sena s20 blue tooth headset. Like music on rides plus wife can tell me pee break Haaa! Haa!
A great helmet can make a trip alot more comfortable. Quite, good air flow through it, lite, air dynamic keeps pressure off neck.

I had my list in my head then I read Larry's post and I need to change mine.

1. Laser alignment
2. BajaRon's Anti Sway Bar
3. TriAxis handlebars & BRP backrest
4. TricLED Front Fender lights and mirror turn signal lights
5. Custom Dynamics HMT Brake Light

The handlebars and backrest may be 2 different items but for me with the TriAxis bars the backrest wouldn't get much use.

Baja Ron Sway Bar.
Custom Dynamics trunk break light
Show Chrome fender and saddle bag riding/turn signal lights
Tri-axis handle bars
iPod in the trunk with all your music

More:
ROLO Alignment if needed
3rd and 4th break lights
Driver Backrest
Airhawk R seat cushion
Lamont's NVB Highway pegs
Smooth Spyder belt pulley
Bluetooth helmet setup (Sena).
SM10 Bluetooth dongle from Motorcycle Dave.
Kuryakyn ISO grips
SPY 5000 Alarm System
Saddle Bag door cargo nets

As you can see, most are stating the BajaRon Sway bar - ABSOLUTELY, but make sure you add the Aluminum Links!
Other then that - LASER alignment from someone that really knows what they are doing. Meaning they have done a bunch and those customers are satisfied.
I would also suggest a module to Flash or Strobe your rear brake lights.

After that its really up to you. Lots of stuff. Corbin, Utlimate Seats, Sticky Convex side mirrors, whatever makes you safer AND more comfortable.
The hardest is probably seats. they are expensive and just sitting on them for a minute or two will not give you a sense of what they are really like over the long haul.
However, if you come from the 2 wheel world and liked a particular seat (other then OEM) you will find that the CanAm equivalents are pretty much no different.

DO NOTs!
Do not waste your money on the CanAm CB. Although the same unit as the Harley under performs and lots of problems. If you want or need Comms go with a Bluetooth system.
If using a new Lightning connector iPod, do NOT buy an adapter from any manufacturer other then Apple.

Good Luck & Congrats on your new Spyder.

Having owned five now and the last three being the RT flavor, each RT has been given:

:ani29:: Custom Dynamics trunk light bar.
:ani29:: An upline seat. One got a Corbin and the last two got the BRP Comfort seat.
:ani29:: Seal Floorboards--the 2014 came with floorboards--so no additional one there.
:ani29:: Driving lights added to the 2011 and Spyderpops lighted bumpskid on the 2014.
:ani29:: Recommend a laser alignment if available from an authorized ROLO person. They should come aligned from the factory--but most seem not to be.

Does the Airhawk R work on the passenger seat?

lots of great ideas, thanks. Nobody mentioned Heated Comfort Seat? Does anyone have that, what do you think of it, was it hard to install?

I have the BRP Heated Comfort Seat and have no issues with it. The longest ride I did was 250 miles in one day and I had no issues with it. I haven't used the heat yet..but I'm sure I will in the next few months :} A friend installed the seat for me so I cannot commit on installation.

I have never sat on a Ultimate Seat or any other after market so I cannot compare the comfort level.
