• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What antifreeze are you using in your Ryker Sport Ace 900?

Mine too. Can we trust the "All color compatible" stuff when it's time to change it out?

I can't answer that. My truck uses an orange mixture, and I used to be able to find Prestone in that color locally, but not recently. After looking around, I found that some Peak versions are orange in color, so I grabbed one today. The Advance Auto salesperson couldn't positively say one way or the other, but I took a chance and picked up a gal. of 50/50 mix any way. Mine just needs to be topped up a skosh, but I wanted to get that done before I head over to WV on Wednesday for a long w/e bike rally in Marlinton. Good riding in that area (Pocohontas County).

Could've done that, but ya gotta cross the Rubicon at some point, so I added a bit of the Peak yesterday.

Changed the oil and filter today. And Sarah, many thanks for the tip about using the TP roll to minimize the mess. Had to whack it in half length wise due to height limitations, but it worked great.

And, for those with the onset of CRS, Ryker oil-filter change Info:

Drain plugs:
Magnetic drain plug – 17mm, tightening torque – 22 ft-lbs
Secondary drain plug – T30, tightening torque – 133 in-lbs

Filter Hardware:
Cover screws – T30, tightening torque – 80 in-lbs

Oil volume w/filter change: 2.96 qt., 5-40 wt. Synthetic (XPS or comparable alternative)
 
Good job! Yep, I've got toilet paper rolls stashed in the house, in the garage... I keep my tools in the frunk and drop my wrenches into an old sock that I can use as a shop rag. The shortened toilet paper roll pushes over it just like a napkin ring, everything stays tidy and the ring keeps its shape.

We collect those rolls and also have quite a stash ourselves. My wife uses them for various activities she has with the kids she works with at church.

My frunk has minimal hand tools. The bulk of those are in a tool roll I carry in the tail trunk. I swap it out between the Ryker and one of the other bikes when I take them on the road. The frunk does carry an air compressor (really need to find a smaller one), bottle of slime, tire repair kit with tools, cords, patches, a ¾” drive wheel nut socket, and a ½” to ¾” adapter.

The tool roll presently contains items needed for my 2-wheel bikes and I really need to swap those out for stuff that’s more suited to the Ryker. I may do that before I leave tomorrow.
