• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I laced up my new boots today (thanks spyderanne) and took my ryde to the dealer (thanks dltang) for the 600 mile check up. the big deal you say!? i rode all the way on the expressway!!! very proud of myself!
had a nice chat with fellow spyder owner John, waiting for his RT to get it's 600 mile check up too. I got to ryde the RT demo...wow! what a great ryde!

the ride home was windy, cold, and rainy,.....bad! but great! because it was experience gained. bye the bye i was really happy with the people at Nord Ride in Mt Morris Michigan....night and day difference between them and the dealership where my spyder was purchased!

Thanks all, without you, this wouldn't be near as much fun! I LOVE MY SPYDER  :2thumbs:

Man you really have to shop around for a good service dept.,and when you find one its like finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow !

:congrats: on finding one.

That a great attitude. And riding in wind and rain is great experience because, as we all know, it's not always sunny and warm in Michigan! :roflblack: Glad to hear you found a dealer who knows how to treat their customers.

:congrats: on finding a good service dealer. Glad you enjoyed the ride in the weather. The right stuff makes any ride doable.

You should have come with us to Spyderfest you would have gotten a lot more experience riding in the wind, rain and cold. We had a blast. Next year you will have to join the MI riders and head to Spyderfest.

What kind of boots did you get?

Good progress. :clap:No question conditioning to weather is the key.. We rode during 13 hours of Wind and Rain and had to dodge three tornados, but none of us will ever worry again about riding in the rain

the TCX boots you recommended to another member
perfect!!

Kim,
Did you tell them I sent you. They are very nice people and always happy to see us. Overall I am happy with their service. Sometimes I wish they would communicate a little bit better, but I just remember to keep calling them. They have been good to us for the past 3 years and I too liked them better than the dealer you got your Spyder from. Went there once for service. They did a decent job but really didn't seem all that interested in the Spyder.

Kim, I'm glad you like the boots. We rode through a lot of rain and my feet were never wet. No plastic bags on my feet like some people I rode with. :roflblack: They were the only shoes I wore for the entire week and my feet never bothered me.
