Of your Max. How is he doing? Everytime I watch Westminister I get the urge to find myself a pup....but then reality hits and for now dog still on "some day" list. Cats are great, but they sure aren't dogs!!! :roflblack:

Used to show dogs for a spell but that is one crazy business and I just could not handle the craziness...:yikes: Rumor won but I have to give it to the folks that handle him cause they made it all happen. My hounds were never happier than when we let them live a dogs life...:yes:

Raised and showed Saints.....egads got a couple dual champions (American/Canada)....but I am sooooo not political and trust me politics plays a huge part IMHO. And I agree without the right handler none of those beautiful dogs would have made it to Westminister. Yep and any dog I've ever know prefers to live a real dog's life and not that of the top SHOW position. $$$ is big factor.

I sometimes see where the owner/trainer bears a strong resemblance to the dog, or is that vice versa.

Dogs being dogs

The black Shepherd is ours and the brown mixed breed is our sons. They will do this tug of war for hours on end with an occasional break for a drink of water. Not show dogs, but blue ribbon winners in our book.

I love watching the dogs from the show on TV and :congrats: to Rumor!

Joe, I'm glad Max is healing well.

I grew up with dogs and cats and as an adult had dogs, then cats. After a long spell with neither, I adopted Fancy Pants and I can't remember why I ever wanted cats! (My apologies to our cat SLs!) Fancy's a mutt so she couldn't compete. But I can say I hit the dog-pound sweepstakes when I found her there!

Dog shows and dog politics . . . I always wondered how judges can make a decision when all those dogs are at such a high level of competition.

There's a pretty good article in the local paper today about it. Rumor and owner are from a town about an hour from me called Edgerton. Sounds like they're the talk of the town. Pretty cool:bowdown:
