• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Weight differences

Can anyone explain the difference in weight between a 2013 RS SE5 at 798 lbs and a 2912 RS SE5 at 699 lbs?
Both are base models but one weighs almost a hundred lbs more!
Thanks

Given my experience with accuracy of operator's guides, I'd blame it on the editors. That is unless you've actually weighed both models.

As I see it..!!

In 2013 they went to the external cat and RT style exhaust adding most of that weight if not all of it. There may be other contributing factors most of which you cant see...

Could be wrong but didn't they also go with 15 in wheels and tires in 13 over the 14's on previous models? am assuming that would also add at least some weight.

There were changes to the 2013 models that would definitely have increased the poundage.
My impression is that BRP took advantage of this change, to actually weigh one of the bikes, and NOT let the marketing folks tell them what to put down in the advertisements... nojoke
