• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Web Boards

DSC01742.jpgWhile waiting on the Baja Ron sway bar which should be here tomorrow and the shock re-locator which I was told is back ordered, I purchased SS web boards. These things are slick as all that. The pictures on their website don't do them justice. Only took about a 1/2 hour to install. If you want to spoil your feet and turn even more heads, these are a must.

The only negative is their office is located in NH and I'm in NV. Yes, patience is virtue but sorry not when it comes to the bike.

Got the black boards in today for the wife's yellow RTS SM5. And yes, they are bad ass looking. But since her's is a manual, I didn't realize that you must use the heel and toe shifter until after I had the boards on. And it was a very easy install. Was going to wait and let the dealer put the shifter on. But since you can't use the stock shifter with these boards, I had to take the boards off until we get the heel and toe shifter put on. But in case anyone was wondering if they fit the 2013's, then answer is yes they do.

Here's a question? It seems most of the really cool upgrades come from back East where riding may be considered "limited" due to weather. Why aren't there more out west for easy access and no waiting? I can ride year round. Sorry to the mid and Northeastern states. I don't mean to rub it in. I used to feel your pain.
:gaah:

Had them on my RT and they were awesome, just traded it in for an RT Limited, the footboards are nice, but I miss the look of the web boards! Enjoy!
:2thumbs:

Momma's boards are on. Had a dealer install the shifter. Good thing, because after I came home and put the boards on, I had to go back for a linkage adjustment. Momma is very happy. Now we have to go ride so I can show her how to shift with the heel and toe shifter:ohyea:.

I have had web-boards since 2012, still believe the best comfort mod I ever made. When/if I ever get a new Spyder, they will come off the old and onto the new first thing.

I had mine installed at Spyderfest 13. We will have the matching passenger boards installed at Spyderfest 14. They are comfortable and cool looking!

So after we get the black boards, which looked awesome, Bill had to come out with pink ones. The wife, FiFi, saw his ad and went nutso over them. So here they are. Thank you Bill for working with us to get the pink boards. The wife is, shall we say, tickled pink:dg2:.
