Here in VT. they are forecasting the coldest weather we have ever had for this weekend.

They are forecasting -20 to -30 temps, and feel like temps even colder than that. They are saying if you go out, bundle up. Keep the pets inside. Also, they have windchill advisory's out.

I am hunkering down, and not venturing out.

Anyone who has warm weather send it this way!

Still a bit chilly here in Indiana, currently overcast skies and 16°F. So just going to be a cold weekend.

The desert S.W. continues to be very pleasant. The high temperatures have been around 70 to 74 each day. Today we are experiencing a little cool down with the high only getting to 67. The sky is partly cloudy and there is a slight chance of some sprinkles throughout the day. Tomorrow we will get back to normal with sunshine and 70-degree temperatures. I know, right now, we are having some of the better weather in the country. For those of you experiencing winter and bitter cold, please stay safe and warm..... Jim

40 today. The snow is gone except for about a 10 ft square patch in my shady part. The view is once again all grass and meadow. Tomorrow, supposed to be 50. :yes:

Monday 1/24/22

Welcome back from the long weekend.
Indiana weather has been all over the place, currently overcast skies and 23°F.
Oh yeah, We finally got a couple of snow showers and have some 'white gold ' on the ground/yard.

Thankfully I have the extra time to enjoy the 'falling flakes'.
I love being retired on days like this. ....:yes:

Today it's 36°F with some more snow showers. Low of 10°F. ......:gaah:

The wife went with her cousin and they picked, Cincinnati Bengals.
They were the biggest winners of the weekend.

Yesterday it was 55 so got to ride to church. Saw several bikes on the road, today not so much. Windy with snow flurries. Supposed to be back up in the 50’s Friday and Saturday.

It was 50 degrees in the Reno/Carson City area this afternoon.
I got out for a couple of hours of running errands with the bike.
Looking forward to a repeat tomorrow.

Tuesday 1/25/22

Cold and deep freeze has come to Indiana. The sky is clear and 12°F. Wind chill makes it feel like 1°F. ...:banghead:
Winter is going full speed.

Today 19°F/1°F. Some sunshine and more wind chill.

We are having blue skies, no wind and 70 degree+ temperatures here in the desert S.W. Yesterday I opened the outside doors to the enclosure that houses my furnace and water heater. Had planned on just changing my furnace filter. To my surprise, my water heater was leaking!!!:cus: Normally I would replace myself but not this time. It is a natural gas heater and it is 22 years old. All the fittings and valves haven't been touched in that time. I don't want to mess with it. The installer will be here in 1/2 hour. It's going to cost a few hundred bucks but I will have peace of mind and won't be bleeding anyplace. No riding for me today. But tomorrow looks like a good day with 70 degrees again. hyea: Stay safe and warm..... Jim

Bone Chill Wednesday 01/26/22

:yikes: I got up to early, current temperature was 1°F.
Wind chill makes it -9°F. The weather people are saying that at 8am the temperature will be 0°F with WC of -12°F.

Much to Cold for me. I will just stay put and enjoy some puzzle time. The wife bought two 550 piece puzzles for her/me to work on during times like this.

Today it's going to be indoor time for us....:shemademe_smilie:

High 19°F with some sunshine, low of 10°F.
WC factor all day from -10°F to -20°F.
They say bundle up with layers.

:banghead: Still cold in Indiana, currently 12°F.
Going to have to check the mail and see the bills.

A little warmer today high of 33°F. Low of 16°F.

Here in VT we still have the Arctic Blast of cold. With dangerous wind chill factors. Wind is blowing, cloudy. It is not snowing at this moment.

This weekend they are forecasting a Nor'Easter. They are saying we will get about 1 - 3 inches of snow in my area. The brunt of the Nor'Easter will in the southern part of Vermont, and in parts of Maine.



Then next week the weather pattern changes for the good, we they are forecasting a warm-up on ground hogs day( Feb. 2nd) temps in the 40's!

Snowy Friday

I woke up this morning and the snow was falling.
The yard has a little snow, currently 26°F. Calling for off and on all morning snow showers.
I had frozen rain on the truck windshield and that was fun to clean off.

High today of 27°F cloudy, low of 7°F.

Well the weather in Indiana is fairly peaceful for the next couple of days. Nothing other than just cold. Today is cloudy and currently 22°F.
High today 25°F, low of 18°F.
