• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Now this is what I'm talking about!

An actual USB outlet instead of a plug-in adapter that connects directly to 12 volts.

I found this on Amazon. It's exactly what I've been looking for to add to the Spyder. I think this one is getting mounted on the dash/console someplace. If it works as advertised I will replaced the accessory socket in the back trunk and frunk with them as well. Cost is ~$19 which is almost a bargain. To prevent battery drain I'll probably either wire them to a ignition key 'ON' source or add a switch in series.

Here's where I installed my Blue Sea USB Dual Socket. It's nice to see the green LED to verify there's power at the socket and all is well. You can't see it, but the USB cover/cap is there, you just can see it hiding behind the phone.

Outlets..!!

just had a post recently where they did a nice job installing a double usb outlet in the temp gauge hole.. I use the plug in usb adapter...but your right, they are more useful than the cigarette socket..!!

Here is how I mounted mine.

If your clever you can use the gauge light for power, you will have to turn down a screw to the same size as the post.
