• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

to all the new riders, or experienced who haven't experienced it yet....

This is from a plastic zipper on my boot rubbing. Just found it today, didn't see it the other day. So I am thinking it happened while in my work boots (20 minutes of riding!). Be careful with your foot placement, and what is around the upper ankle!

Sorry flyboy that sucks!!! I have a feeling you'll be making it look good again soon, mearly a flesh wound!

Yeah, I am a little upset. For now it will grow as I ride it more and more. But in the future, after I have made at least a first payment....

I am thinking matte black for some reason, with a special placement of a sticker or two.

OY!

That makes me ill and it's not even my bike. :( SOOOO sorry to see/hear that this happened to your ride.

lol, I smiled at Teddy. Thanks.

Sucks that I JUST bought the bike, and it took a 10 minute ride to work and a plastic zipper to kill it for me :crys:

Sorry to see this happen so early on. The first scratch always seems to be the worst. Unfortunately it doesn't look like that one is going to buff out. If you have a place that does vinyl graphics, you can have them cut a piece of gloss black to cover that area. It won't really be noticeable to most people and will provide protection until you are ready for a more permanent fix.

:yikes: Yikes!
This is a lesson that most of us have had to learn the hard way at some point in time... I cost myself a seat cover for a snowmobile when a boot zipper caught. Why do they put latches on boots that are designed ot break our hearts anyway?!?:cus:
It stinks that the payment book doesn't even have a scratch in it yet, but at least now your bike has been" pre-disastered" so if any more scratches show up they won't hurt as much... (Not that that's any real consolation!)

Okay, I've been looking at this since yesterday and I still can't figure out what it is. Someone help.

I can't believe that with MY lousy eyeballs I got this one...
It appears to be (at least to me) a shot from close to the ground looking up the LH side of the bike...

Sorry Bob, but whatever I'm looking at appears to be see through.:dontknow:

Still lost.

you are looking at the reflection not the panel. The "white/gray" line in the midel is a scratch on the "crease" of the panel. I just got it my self. Thank you Bob.

Thanks. I see it now.

WAs wondering

I couldn't figure it out either, but wasn't going to be the dumb newbie to ask...:dontknow:

HA, yeah, sorry. Should have shrank it down just to the rubbing.

I am thinking on a sticker for a quick fix before the paint. Still don't know what I am going to do AFTER I paint though... maybe a sticker like a tank cover on a sportbike, only where your boots hit :D
