• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wanabe No More!

Cando's Ryde

On Friday, April 18th we will pick up our brand spanking new Spyder RT-S SM-5! Having never ridden a motorcycle of any kind, we are busy reading and studying the operator's guide. And since we are starting this adventure in our 60's, much practice is in store! Can't wait!

Question: since we will no longer be "wanabees" in a few days, is there a process whereby we can change our user name? Thanks in advance for your help!

 congrats and welcome. Send Lamonster a PM and ask him to change your user name, he is the owner of the site.

Congratulations..!!

your going to love it and the learning process is not very difficult. :agree: as to changing your user name....:ohyea::ohyea:

Congrats

You and your wife will love it and being that you have never ridden a motorcycle before will help as you do not have to un-learn motorcycle skills as the Spyder is driven differently.

 here's to your new adventure in life

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Being Full-time RVers, you guys must get around alot!!! Welcome to the happiest place on earth...except for Disney. SpyderLovers is a great place for all things Spyder. Enjoy the life and enjoy the ride. If you're ever in the Virginia Beach area, give us a call. We have a few Spyder Ryders that would love to have an excuse for another ride.
:yes::yes:

:welcome: and :congrats: on your upcoming delivery. As mentioned, Lamonster will help with the name change. Yes, pictures are "required." :roflblack:

You folks will love the new :spyder2:. Watch your video, practice a little in a parking lot, try some "low and slow" roads for about 50 or so miles--then--your off. Overcontrol can make the :ani29: feel a bit unsteady.

There is a thread (help someone) for do's and don'ts for new ryders. Very good information for all new :spyder2: owners.

Posted the Do's and Don't thread....how you doing for rydin' time up there in AK? You were lucky you were not in Duluth, MN this year -- they got dumped on with snow, cold, etc.

Thanks for posting the do's and don'ts. I have been rydin' most every day since 4/5/2014. Two days no ryde because of snow flurries. Supposed to do a group ryde Saturday, but 30 degree temps and snow closed that down very quickly. I will make up for it today--45 degrees, and sunny.

Both my sons still live in Duluth/Superior and I feel their pain. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Oh...I didn't know you still had a "direct line" on what Duluth is doing! Poor sons of yours living there -- love the area to ryde in the summer along the North Shore / Lake Superior - beautiful ryde. I have a couple nephews and their spouses living there and we visit them once a year (ONLY IN THE SUMMER) :roflblack:

Glad to see your getting some time out rydin'....my 2014 has a little over 400 miles now -- no rydin' this week, cold spell and rain :banghead:
However, next week should hit 60's and 70's - good rydin' weather :yes::yes::yes:
