• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Walmart led side marker lights installed

I installed these today, not too difficult. First I had a friend make me a thinner backing plate using copper plate, see photo's. Not necessary I just wanted a lower profile. Then took off the rear fender and running light and taped into the wiring harness where the clip holds it to the inside fender frame. Snaked the wires thru and over to each side [see photo's] I used AC-Heating tape that techs use for sealing around pipes and wiring going into duct work. I cut the wiring snug so if the tape fails where I secured it to the fender frame it still wouldn't rub the tire. The led lights run 6.95 ea. You should be able to get the tape at an heating ac supply store.

By the way, I used a heat gun set low, also goo gone and a putty knife to remove the side reflectors that where on the fender frame where I mounted the new lights.

I've had good luck using a gob of silicone caulk or plumbers putty to hold wiring in place. I like the plumber putty best as it is easy to clean off.

Nice mod! That's a whole lot better than simple reflectors.

I did something similar, but with different LEDs (and paid more than you did :( )

Your right with the silicone caulk but takes longer to set than the ac-heat tape which is super sticky and can be molded and I have used it on cars and such with great success, sticks to anything that's been cleaned off, grips like the lonely guy who sits next to you in a bar!

You can also get ALL kinds of inexpensive LED,s at
Superbrightleds.com if you want a larger selection!
Nice Job !!!
