• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

well i wrote to steve from BRP yesterday and he got back to me later when i found the E mail from him, in the E mail i said that being it was winter i didn't bother them because of the cold plus i understood that the 14's coming out were their priorities, i also asked why they have not posted anything on the forum about what they are doing to fix the heat issues with the 13's because people are wondering what is going on. so when i read the E mail all it said was, i will call you tomorrow and what is a good time for you, i told him after 1 pm EST because i have a pretty bust morning today. so if i get any information i will post it here. enjoy your morning peeps

Hoping for good news for all of the 2013 owners...

BRP owes it to the 2013 :ani29: owners. They should not let our issues fall on deaf ears. Waiting patiently for some answers! Keep it up John

Good luck. I hope you get some answers. While you've got him on the phone try to find out the dates and location of the Owners Event.

Waiting for a call

Thanks, please let us know what he says, I'm also waiting on a call from the rep in charge on my issues and I will post anything here also....

I am really interested too, Cuz! Even tho I have not had extreme heat issues with my RT, it is painted with the same brush as those with problems. If BRP can come up with a solution, I can have it completed, documented and have a clean bill of health on her for anyone who may be interested in buying/trading. I really enjoy the Spyder, but hate being under this 2013 cloud!

We are very interested in that conversation also. Have not heard anything from them regarding heat issues either. Keep us posted and thanks.

ok heres the story

i just got off the phone with steve from BRP, we had a nice lil chat and he assured me they are working on it. he said the whole time they were working on the 14's it was his job to work on the 13's. steve said that at first there are a few bikes with really bad heat and my bike is one of them, he also said that he can't go into information on what they are working on for a fix but said in the next couple of weeks information will go out to the dealers who has people with the real hot bikes to try the fix's out to see if they help. so with this i am satisfied with what he said and hope that what ever they come up with will work. being i am in the middle of a snow storm today i really don't care right now but he also said the areas that people can still ride will most likely get the test fix first, and i am fine with that also.

he also said he liked the way my vents came out and said my bike looks great. so that means they are still watching the posts and paying attention to us 13 owners. so all in all i am very happy with the call and i do feel they will really try to help us 13 owners. and no i wasn't payed for this post but i will enjoy the cruse to Canada later this year lol. only kidding. oh i also asked if the vents i put on would void my warranty and he said absolutely no. ok lets hope for the best in the near future

Heat Problem?

The only heat problem I have on my 2013 RT Ltd is my bottom gets real warm and i'm not sure if it's due to the heat from the seat or lack of air flow. Will be interesting
to see what BRP comes up with. Thanks Cuz for sharing the info.

Good to hear that you got a response, my issue not so much on the heat affecting me as my Harley Ultra puts out plenty of heat but boiling gas :yikes: and possibility of parts melting off my bike do kind of concern me..... I hope they address these issues soon.

Thanks for the info.. I am encouraged that they are truly working on a fix. I don't have heat problems yet but I would like to be assured that they won't happen later. My only hope is that they get to the source of the problem and not try to abate the heat. As said before, the heat will degrade everything on the bike over time. Still LOVE my 13 Spyder! Come on Spring!!
