• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looking for info on a VR headset. I am looking to get one but don't want to break the bank. Anyone have any experience with these or recommendations?

Checked the Samsung one out at Best Buy yesterday, awesome, but not cheap $99. Didn't want to spend that much.

The Samsung and the Google Daydream both only work with certain phones (iPhones need not apply.) Other VR headsets require either a Playstation 4 or a beefy computer with an equally beefy video card. Otherwise, the image isn't smooth and can lead to nausea.

My suggestion is look at a Google Cardboard. It's cheap, works with many different phones, and will tell you if you really are interested in VR. Plenty of content on Youtube and Facebook to play with.

Spend some time at http://www.vrheads.com/ to learn more.

My wife paid $25 for a Daydream 360. It's nothing fancy. I had to take my phone out of the case to use it. You have to take the phone out of it to change whatever APP or game you use, change the volume....etc...I'm not a fan of it just because you can't access anything without removing the phone and reinstalling it every time. Maybe the more pricey ones are easier to use...???? I was glad when she told me she didn't spend much on it...'cause that's probably all I'll ever use it. A fad that won't last long if you ask me.

I had the samsung VR it was interesting but resolution was a disappointment, also too bulky hot and just uncomfortable for me, course it didn't really fit my big head too well either, size 4x helmet head really stretched straps to there limits LOL it came with my phone otherwise I would not have bought it.O you can eliminate lot of the heat by leaving phone on charge but then wire is tethering you, and the whole threeD effect was awesome give it another year or so they will either perfect it or it fades.hope this helps.
