• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A while ago, like many, many months ago there was a thread about the Vin. #. The vin # would tell you what day of the week your bike was built, what month etc. I tried looking for it in a search and came up empty. So does anybody know what secrets the vin. # will tell you????

The Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSO) will tell you the build date: you can figure out the day of the week from that. :thumbup:

Cookie there...

Same one I posted way back when...:shocked: there you have it and as Bob stated get the MSO...:thumbup:

There are several labels on the byke that contain the prod date with day, month, year. The easiest one to see if it has not been removed is in the frunk.... There are others around the bike as well. And there is also a month/year date on the frame id tag, this one is harder to see. It is on the left side on the bottom frame rail...

There is a month/year date on a sticker on the left side of the swing arm on my '14 but no day. Thanks, Gene, I couldn't remember where the VIN info you posted came from.

Pet Peeve

Just a pet peeve that I have.

VIN = vehicle identification number

VIN # = vehicle identification number number

Same for ATM machine and others.

I have OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder).
