• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

USB Power Outlet doesn't change from Switched to Un-Switched when fuse moved. Anyone else? Any fix?

I have 2023 RT Limited.
I prefer to have the Outlet UNSWITCHED. This should be easily done by moving the 5 AMP fuse from position 6 to position 7, according to the Manual. BOTH positions result in the outlets being switched. Has anyone else had this experience? Is there a FIX?

I had no problem when I moved the fuse (as per the manual) on my 2016 RTS. Any help is welcomed

Which outlet? That fuse switch only applies to the right side “GPS” outlet, and the accessory outlet that can be installed in the Frunk. It does not apply to the USB outlets in the top case.

Thank you Doug. That would explain it.
Strange that the back trunk on the 2016 used the same fuse position to control the "cigarette lighter" style power outlet. I will resolve to only charge my accessories with the key switched. :(
Do you know which fuse is used to power the USB outlets in the Top Case?

Hey Star. When you unplug a cigarette style power outlet, there is no load at all. When you unplug a USB device from a USB adapter, I believe there is still a bit of parasitic drain from the electronics inside that are converting 12v to USB spec power. That USB outlet in the top case is not fused separately. There is a 12v power distribution supply that runs around the back end of the bike, powering things like the plate light, tail lights, etc. Everything in the top case comes off of that. I think it's fuse F1R. So, you lose a lot of things if that fuse blows, not just the USB adapter.

BTW - that interior light in the top case, does NOT care if the lid is open or closed. As long as the key is on, then that light is on.

Now, if you really wanted an always on power outlet, you can install that accessory into the frunk. Just get any auto style power outlet of your choice and install it in that hole in the left side ( left as you’re sitting on the bike) of the frunk that has the rubber plug in it. It's behind the liner. Then remove the battery - for easier access - and look for these wire connectors in the upper left side of the battery area. Again, left as you’re sitting on it. Just push them onto the back of the power adapter. You might benefit from an extension harness for the adapter. Then that power adapter is powered from the F6 fuse swap and you could make it always on if you wanted.

Or, you can utilize the GPS power outlet and install one of those nifty handlebar mounted power stations. Many options.
