• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Up and Out Mirror Extension

Hello. Bought a set of Up and Out Mirror Extensions for my 08 rs spyder from Custom Dynamics. Got to step 12 placing the mirror extension into the base. There is a set of three locking nubs that must be aligned. I must not holding my mouth just right cause I can't get the base to slide over the mirror extension to align with nubs from the base into the slots on the extension. I put a call into Custom Dynamics for tech help but I'll probably get a faster response from spyder lovers. Thanks!!!
 
Sorry....

I have them, the extensions , but don't remember where I got them or having problems you discribe. I do remember my snag was taking the turnsignal plug apart to thread the wires trough. They do work well and the only other issue is the half cover I have is a tough fit now...:thumbup:
 
It sounds crazy, but make sure you don't have them on the wrong side. I am a pretty meticulous person, but I actually got mine on the wrong side initially. I remember having a tough time getting things to seat properly, but I finally got everything together with a little muscle. Then as I looked at them, I decided they just looked wrong. Sure enough, they were on the wrong sides. When I swapped sides, everything lined up smooth as silk. My boxes were not marked Left or Right and I could not believe you could get them reversed, but...

To those who responded, thanks. The extensions where milled to size and after black powder coating they were too thick. Took off the powder coating and the parts came together. I also thought I may have had the wrong side, but I double checked and I had the right side to match up with the parts. As soon as I had my Up and Out mirror Extensions mounted and adjusted, Custom Dynamics Tech called to help. Go figure!!! Thanks to all responded and future responses.
