• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ultra Guard Covers, Regular vs Essential - what's the difference?

I’ve had my Nelson Riggs 1/2 cover since 2017. Still keeps everything dry for the most part during rain, but now starting to get huge droplets/condensation under the cover, even on dry nights when touring. I know it’s been overly humid everywhere this past week, but I’ve never had anything like this before. This morning the entire under part was covered in droplets, and as soon as I began to remove the cover, all the droplets fell. It soaked the seat while there wasn’t a drop or any dew on the outside. The machine was not hot at all before covering. In fact, it sat at our campsite uncovered for at least 4 hours in the shade before covering last night.

Anyone ever experience droplets under their cover constantly? I’m not complaining, the cover has lasted way longer than I expected. It’s 7 years old. They have discontinued the half cover for older model RT’s. I see that Ultra Guard makes a Regular and Essential version 475 Regular/375 Essential series. What’s the difference?

I also have a 27-inch high/wide windshield, no rack on the back. Will the Ultra Guard 1/2 cover fit that windshield? I remember when I was purchasing the Nelson that was a big thing 7 years ago, I had to buy the newer version, but I believe everyone adapted and changed the fit for taller windshields.

I need to replace my old 1/2 cover, it’s only used on the road at nights, or at work during the day if it rains.

I have the F4 27-inch windshield and both the half and full Ultra Guard covers fit perfectly. I have not noticed any dew forming on the inside of either cover.

I have an Ultra Guard cover for my F3 SE6. My ride also has a Blue Mountain windsheild on it.

My cover has a zippered expansion slot so you can unzip it, and it allows the cover to fit over the windsheild. It also has a zippered expansion slot for the rear seat area in case you have a rack or back-rest mounted.

I do occassionally get moisture trapped under the cover when it's been 90°+ outside and overnight the humidity/water drops condense on the underside. The cover is waterproof, so there's nothing I can do about condensation with the temp. changes between hot days/cool nights.
