• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ultimate Seat and Diamond R Armrests First Ride

On Saturday I installed my new Ultimate seat (no fuel door, with backrest, and Ultimate passenger backrest) and Diamond R armrests. The installation was straightforward and uncomplicated thanks to great instructions and info posts from other Spyderlovers. Covering all open holes is a must (a hinge bolt bounced off the tape over the battery access hole.)

On Sunday, we burned a tank of fuel on the Southern Maryland back roads for a first road test. The back seat commander gave both a 2 thumbs up and I immediately noticed a positive difference with the seat. It feels a little firmer and a little slipperier than stock seat. The reduced vibration thru the seat is noticeable. My back-seater said 2 miles out of the drive "its smoother now. What did you do?" We are looking forward to longer rides as it warms up this spring.

The Diamond R armrests also made the ride a lot more enjoyable for her. She particularly likes the storage from the pouch on the armrests and the backrest.

Next weekend. The Spyder gets a Smoothspyder installed, Spyderpops Missing Belt Guard, and the new Gloryders.

I love the springtime!

:ohyea::ohyea::thumbup::thumbup::ohyea::ohyea: I too took my spyder for a ryde this week-end with my new ultimate seat.....at first i was concentrating to see if i noticed a difference.....then before i knew it i had ridden 60 miles....with not one thought to my comfort!:ohyea::ohyea::ohyea:

Thank you ultimate:clap::clap:

Do i need a reservation to have a driver backrest installed on a 2012 RT Ltd at Spyderfest? :dontknow:

Cruzr Joe

Cruzr Joe,

As long as you have our seat already on your bike and it doesn't have custom colors, installation of the rider backrest is quick and easy.

We have the same setup on our RT Limited that is both the seat and the DiamondR armrests. Can't say enough good things about each. I can say that having met Des and his crew at their Daytona store, they are fantastic people and have great customer service. Des is a Top Shelf, stand up guy. He and really the whole gang treat you great. They don't act like a dealer/customer relationship but rather like you're a friend that they want to be sure is happy visiting their home.

As for the seat, it's in one word, "AWESOME". Sorry but the Can-Am RT Limited seat is nice.....looking, but it's no match for the "Ultimate Seat" and I'm not being paid to say this stuff either. As a paying customer, if it were junk, I'd gladly say so but, it's a great seat so have at'em, you won't be disappointed.:clap:

OUCH, i thought that this backrest could be installed on a stock seat on a RT Limited????????

Cruzr Joe-
Sorry, our rider backrest only mounts to our seats. The mounting brackets are located inside our seats.

Glad to hear all the positive feed back, I have been in talks with Dave at Ultimate and they are making a custom seat for my rt. Just waiting for sample colors to show up and I will be ordering the seat. This is going to make a huge difference for me in riding 5 back operations makes for some interesting days on the stock seat:banghead:.
