• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

turn signal trouble

Anyone have this issue. It seems that when I slide the turn signal switch to make a turn it quite often does not work. When I got home I was messing with it for a while and noticed that it would work everytime when I would slide and then push down onto the switch as it was slid over. it seems if I just slide the switch over with no down pressure it will not go on. is this normal ? Thanks all.

No..!!

there may be debris or such in the control body. If you can spray compressed air in and around to see if it helps as well WD-4. If not you may have to go in and see what the problem is or if under warranty take it in to be corrected...

It's a warranty fix

Yep, my ST did this too - rode 1200km to bring it home THEN realised nobody ever knew when I was turning left! They replace the whole indicator assembly, take it to the dealer. Some have tried WD40 etc but my advice is to go straight for the replacement, it makes a huge difference!

Thanks.

it sure did not seem right at all to push on hit so darn hard.

I've noticed as well but diagnosed as "operator error" as I would flip the switch i depressed it as you would to turn off fyi. Every time i stopped to test it worked fine but in traffic i had questionable results. Long hard time self evaluating my actions:banghead: And retrained myself from bad habit. (Helped it was warm enough to take thick gloves off:doorag:) you still may have grime but just, test all you can properly first;)

me too - not

Yes, I thought it was "me" too so tried retraining, then I thought - why is it so different to the RS to operate ? - same mechanism after all! then I read posts about a few units which should be replaced, and decided mine was one of them. It was the unit, not me...

Same Problem

I have the same issue on my 2013 RTL. Getting it swapped out under warranty next week at SpyderFest.

I have the opposite problem.

When I slide the turn signal button to the right for a right turn, it sticks in the far right position. So the turn signal won't cancel. Time to take it to the dealer AGAIN. This will be the third time for this fix. None of us should be bothered with this nit picking s#$%. These guys need to take some quality lessons from Honda. This trike is so much fun, who wants to spend time with this stuff.

Thought it was my fault

i added some lighting late last season. Started having the issue early this season. Thought is was from my mods. I have to use extra effort to get left side to activate. No problem with right side. May speak to dealer. Thanks again to Spyderlovers
